People Are Saved by Hearing and Speaking Words

Men and women are saved by hearing and speaking words.

Romans 10:8-10
8. But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, [even] in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
9. That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe inthine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

We live in a word created and word controlled environment.

II Corinthians 4:13 Paul tells us:
We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak

Even when that young David came to bring groceries to his siblings, and those soldiers were all sitting there in their camp watching "televison". Watching that Goliath "tell his vision".

David, as it turned out, he spoke no less than FIVE TIMES what was going to happen and what he would be doing to Goliath, and it put anger inside the man. David did EXACTLY what he declared.

II Corinthians 4:17-18
17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding [and] eternal weight of glory;
18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen [are] temporal; but the things which are not seen [are] eternal.

Calling things that are not as though they are.
That's what Jesus did all during His ministry.

I heard a man once say that he told God that he felt like he was lying speaking His Word for himself.
The Lord spoke to him...."Son, how could you lie saying what I say?"

Some people think that they'll just start confessing what God says is true, that they'll have a harvest in just a few days...but not so. If I go out back and plant a cucumber seed, it will not produce anything for my table until after it germinates, brings on the leaf, stalk, and bloom and the fruit of it to grow...THEN it will have something ready for my table.

It's got to grow on the inside of us, and we've got to stand true to what God's said and what we produce from our mouth.
How long will it take. Who cares...just do it until you have a harvest.

Now that's not to say that the Spirit of God cannot or will not bring signs and wonders and will not bring miracles. I've seen that in my life, and I THANK GOD FOR THEM...but that is not what I'm talking about here.

Romans 10 says the Word is nigh you even in our mouth...it's as close as getting into your mouth and speaking it. When I'm confessing the Word, I'm sowing the Word.
It's the SAME WORD OF FAITH THAT WE ALL SPOKE WHEN WE CAME INTO THE KINGDOM OF GOD.
It's the same spiritual principle. Believing it in our hearts and speaking it with our mouths.

ALL things are subject to change when we believe and stand on God's Word.

Men and women are saved, brought out of the kingdom of darkness and brought into the Kingdom of Light and LIFE..... by hearing and speaking words.

Hallelujah!!!

Fully Persuaded

Romans 4:21
And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.

I've been pondering this Scripture of late.

While I've posted different articles on the power of words, and the confession of our faith in God's Word, I see that this Scripture has a lot to do with our confession. I've seen some folk not allow God's Word to do it's work in their lives...to become FULLY PERSUADED. Sometime people that have heard the preaching of faith and confession, take it and run without it being birthed into a place of them being FULLY PERSUADED....and in turn, that may put them into compromising situations.

Sometimes, when confessing God's Word to myself, in the beginning I may not feel like it's so, but I BELIEVE it because I understand the integrity of God's Word.

While I continue to confess it/decree it over whatever I'm believing for, that Word GROWS on the inside of me to the point that it's more real to me than the circumstances I am facing.

It's not long before I am fully persuaded that what God has to say about it, is Bigger than the situation I'm facing. At that time it's birthed into my own spirit...for keeps....and it's after that when I see it manifested into my life or whatever I'm standing on God's Word for.

Now it MAY be a while between the time it's birthed inside of me before I've seen it manifested, so my eyes can see it, but I'm not letting go of what has been birthed inside of me. When God's Word explodes on the inside of us, is when we know for certainty that it's ours, and it's ON IT'S WAY TO US. That's where we obtain the promises of God with patience. In the mean time, we just keep watering our faith continuing to decree God's Word, offering praise and thanksgiving for it, even before it arrives to us, not allowing the words of our mouth to destroy what is already on it's way, with unbelief.

Luke 8:15 tells us:
But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep [it], and bring forth fruit with patience.

Romans 8:25 says:
But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.

Father God, I ask YOU to help us all to become fully persuaded in the truths of Your Word. Help us to not only lay hold of your promises but to allow patience to have her perfect work in our lives. In Jesus' Name.

From Couch Potatoes to Conquerors

Eight Steps to Keeping Your Spirit in Shape.

It's easy to get lazy about spiritual things. Have you ever noticed that? It's easy to get so preoccupied with the day-to-day business of life that you let the truths you've received from God slip away.

You don't have to jump into some kind of major sin to lose ground spiritually. You don't even have to get rebellious. All you have to do is nothing!

It's easy. It is also dangerous.

The truth is, it's usually not the great revelations you haven't heard yet that are causing you to be defeated in certain areas of your life. It's failing to live by the things you know.

If you want to live in victory, you have to keep yourself spiritually active. You have to keep feeding your spirit with the Word of God. You have to continually be filled with the Holy Spirit.

that's right, continually filled. It's not enough to get baptized in the Holy Ghost once and expect that one experience to keep you on fire for Jesus the rest of your life. That's why in Ephesians 5:18, the Apostle Paul says, "Be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit." In the Greek, that phrase says literally "be being filled with the Holy Spirit."

Be filled. Keep yourself overflowing. Sounds like a tall order, doesn't it?

It is, but in the book of II Timothy, Paul tells us how we can accomplish it. He outlines some very important steps that will keep us moving forward in the overcoming power of God.

1. Be Strong in grace.
First of all, Paul instructs us to "be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus" (II Timothy 2:1). What is grace what does it do? Titus 2:11-12 tells us, "For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness, and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world."

Grace teaches us. It teaches us how to live in freedom in this world.

Whenever the Spirit of God corrects you, whenever He points out a mistake you're making or speaks to your about something you're doing that is grieving Him, don't be mad. Be glad! It's the grace of God teaching you something to make your life better.

Grow strong in that grace by spending time every day in prayer. Live each day expecting the Spirit of God to counsel and instruct you about the things in your life - big and small.

Expect to hear from Him. If you don't, you won't be listening for Him. And if you're not listening for Him you're not likely to hear Him because He speaks in a still, small voice. They're not overwhelming words. If you don't have a spiritual ear tuned to heaven, you'll miss them.

So, every morning of your life spend time praying in the spirit, talking to the Father and reminding yourself the Holy Ghost is inside you, constantly teaching and guiding you. Become strong in the grace of God.

2. Endure hardness.
Next, Paul said, "Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ" (II Timothy 2:3). In other words, get tough.

Tests and trials will come your way in this life. Don't falter and quit when they do. Don't put down your shield of faith.

Instead, when the enemy puts pressure on you, get more aggressive with your faith than ever. Do more - not less. Spend more time in prayer, more time in the Word. Speak twice as many words of victory!

When hardship comes, endure it. Stand on your faith. And refuse to let the devil talk you out of believing God's Word.

3. Don't get entangled.
"No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who has chosen him to be a soldier" (II Timothy 2:4).

You and I have been called to live the high life in Christ Jesus, not to be tied down to this natural realm. But all too often we allow ourselves to become entangled in the temporary affairs of this world instead. We allow those entanglements to drag us into defeat.

Don't let that happen to you. Simplify your life, If you don't have time for God, make time. Don't let your career your family or anything else keep you from going on with God.

One thing I can promise you: Every part of your life will be more blessed if you take time to listen to God. There is nothing you can do that is better than hearing from heaven.

Before I consider taking on any new activity, I always ask myself, "Can I afford it?" Not can I afford it financially, but can I afford it spiritually? Can I give time to this activity and still keep my priority time with God? If not, I can't afford it.

There's only one thing you absolutely can't afford to do without - and that's your time spent in prayer and in the Word of God. It is your very life. It is where your victory lies. You may forget that, but satan never does. he'll constantly be sending time-stealer's your way. So be alert and don't get entangled in them. Make the time you spend with God your first priority every day.

4. Remember the Resurrection.
"Constantly keep in mind Jesus Christ, the Messiah, (as) risen from the dead...." (II Timothy 2:8, The Amplified Bible).

When the devil starts telling you you're defeated, turn the tables on him and say, "You've got that wrong, devil. I'm not defeated, you're defeated. My faith is in the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ."

satan can't whip you if you keep in mind Christ Jesus is risen from the dead. So, never let yourself lose sight of Him. Continually remind yourself that the power satan couldn't keep in the grave is the very power that is operating inside you right now. If you'll do that, the devil will never get the best of you.

5 Study the Word.
"Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth" (II Timothy 2:15).

Never quit studying God's Word. Whenever you stop growing in spiritual revelation, you begin to lose what you've already received. It dwindles away on the inside of you.

Have you ever noticed that some people seem to live on a spiritual roller coaster? One day they're on top of the world, excited about the Word, and full of faith...the next day they're in a valley of discouragement. Don't be like that. Instead, get up on the crest of the wave and stay there all the time.

Continual study of the Word of God will enable you to do that. It will keep you steady and consistent in your walk with God because it will constantly feed your faith and keep you strong.

6. Avoid arguments.
"Avoid all empty (vain, useless, idle) talk, for it will lead people into more and more ungodliness" (II Timothy 2:16, The Amplified Bible).

Here Paul specifically cites the case of two men arguing over the Resurrection. Those kinds of useless arguments actually undermine faith and Paul warns us to stay away from them.

Don't get into conflicts with other believers over doctrine. Instead, fellowship with them over the fact Jesus Christ was raised from the dead and is Lord of the universe. If you can't agree on anything else, rejoice in that.

Don't argue with people. Just love them.

7. Fellowship with the faithful.
"Shun youthful lusts and flee from the, and aim at and pursue righteousness...faith, love (and) peace...in fellowship with all who call upon the Lord out of a pure heart" (II Timothy 2:22 The Amplified Bible).

If you want to live in victory, you need to fellowship with people who know God. Don't try to fellowship with the world and live like an overcomer. It won't work.

We get strength from one another. If you want to grow strong, find someone who is stronger in the Lord than you are and fellowship with them. They'll bring you up.

On the other hand, if you fellowship with people who don't live for God and trust His Word, they'll bring you down. Don't go to a church, for example, where people tell you healing has passed away and then triy to live in divine health. You can't do it.

Listen to me now. Your very life depends on whom you fellowship with and where you go to church. Fellowship with people who are strong and walk in power, who preach God's Word and get results when they pray. You'll end up on a much higher plane.

8. Keep on keeping on.
"But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them" (II Timothy 3:14).

The only way the devil can actually defeat you is by convincing you to quit. So, don't let him do it.

When satan comes to knock you down and steal your hope and faith in the Word of God, don't let them go. Hang on. Continue to do the things you know to do. Keep on keeping on!

Remember this. All it takes to lose your grip on the power of God is to get lazy in spiritual things. You don't have to do anything dramatic - all you have to do is nothing.

So beware of taking it easy in the days ahead. Now is not the time to be a spiritual couch potato. It's time to move onward and upward in the overcoming power of God!

Content and Context of God's Word

Faith is important, can't please God without it.
Sometimes people believe with all their heart but don't have an ounce of Bible faith.
Sometimes people will release their faith in what happened to someone else.
If God did it for brother so and so he'll do it for me.
BUT...did you give like he did, did you pray like he did, did you develop your confession and faith of the Word like he did?

It has to be Bible faith, comes from and based on the authority of the Word of God. Not someone else's testimony.

So the easiest cop out is to blame God.

In this study, they'd been talking about chucking out stones out of our heart to get the ground of our hearts prepared to receive the Word.

Romans 10:17
Faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God.

It's primarily speaking about the preached word. That's why it's so important to be in a church that will build our faith and teach these principles.
We need to have books and tapes and tools and internet to flow where God's revealing of Himself and His will for us to grow and to abound is so important, to all of us.

Understanding the intent of these verses are so important.

Romans 8:26

Likewise the spirit help our weakness for we know not what we should pray as we ought but the spirit himself makes intercession for us.

The apostle Paul didn't believe that all things work for good, and he penned the book. The apostle Paul said that he would have come to the church at Thessolonica said that he would have come to them once again but satan had hindered him. Why didn't he say that all things work together for the good.... Paul didn't even believe what people do today, he knew the work of the devil.

Romans 8:27
And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what [is] the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to [the will of] God. (the will of is placed in there by translators, so it reads)

And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to God.

Jesus is our intercessor at the right hand of the father for us.
We can't pray like God will pray in our carnal mind. He's in heaven, interceding through the Holy Spirit through us. We cannot pray like God would - but the Holy Spirit knows how to. That's what we yield ourselves to when we pray in the Spirit, in tongues.

Romans 8:28
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

WHAT ALL THINGS is he talking about? All the things that the Jesus, our intercessor, prayed through the Spirit of God through US in the Holy Spirit in tongues for the situation, He prayed about it, through us the Way God would pray about it. He said that all things would work together for good after God has prayed about it through His Spirit through us.

This is not talking about the curse, the devil and all that.
Some folk say that a loving God allowed their child to be killed in a car wreck BUT I have to say that all things work together for good....NO IT DOESN'T

The text and intent of this - keeping it in context is that Jesus the intercessor praying through the Holy Spirit praying THROUGH US praying the prayer God would pray.
THAT IS WHAT WILL WORK TOGETHER FOR GOOD TO US WHO LOVE GOD AND ARE CALLED ACCORDING TO HIS PURPOSE.

HELLELUJAH!!! GLORY TO GOD!!!

It steals peoples faith, because they've not been taught that way...
It's like when the boy saw a firetruck and wanted his dad to take him to follow it and after several times of following a fire engine, the boy asked his dad why it was that this truck went all around town starting fires.

That is what we've often seen God to be doing because of bad teaching, and when He's finally invited in on the scene of our lives to bring solutions.

YES, after a bad situation, we CAN pray in the Holy Spirit and HE CAN work what is there for good, if we pray....but that's after the mess the devil has moved in on and created. Not God.

It's what we pray about in the Spirit that causes things to work together for good to us who love God and are called according to His purpose.

Religion has painted a picture of like God is doing His best to bring bad stuff on people to try and teach them something. It's so far from God's way of doing things.
All the time He sent the Holy Spirit to teach us, He doesn't send the devil to teach us anything.

We have got to compare what something says on one page there what the Word says with the rest of the Bible. If it's out of line with the rest of the Bible we're misunderstanding what it says.

If we are not studying God's Word we're not going to be taught by it, will we?

All last week there was a lot of good teaching that is foundational to what Mr. Capps is teaching this week also.

I tell you, when I heard this lesson, I just about jumped out of my chair. I wanted to go over it several times to get it down into my own spirit, and to check it out in God's Word. This lesson has set me FREE from religious teaching I've received for many years....and the excuse we've all made in not understanding what is going on and blaming God for allowing such and such. NOPE, not any more. I'll never see that Scripture the same again, and thank God that He's really set me free!!! LOL GLORY TO GOD!!

Father, thank You for the truth of Your Word and for HELPING us to learn what the context of Your Word is saying. HELP US God. We cannot walk in this life without You, or without Your wisdom. Thank You. I shall never again blame you for what the devil has instigated again. In Jesus' Name.

Take no thought SAYING

While I was listening to a ministry video yesterday online, I had this tool opened and just began to take notes on things that I could as quickly as I could type. That's what I posted yesterday, some notes of Mr. Charles Capps teaching on Mr. Copelands air time.

There were several things that really caught my attention, but the first one was....

TAKE NO THOUGHT SAYING....
Is what one translation says another...
Do not worry saying....
Therefore do not worry and be anxious saying.....
Therefore do not ye be busy, saying...

In the notes someplace I heard...
Thoughts come to us all the time, but they'll die unborn if we don't say them.

Hummm, take no thought s-a-y-i-n-g.
In the parable of the sower sows the word...we can sow either God's Word,
Someone else's word....
Our own words.

Word will be planted inside of us...they are all the time.
We speak word from our mouth...things that are out of habit...
Things to just keep conversation going...
Words of fear.....
Words of agreement with something or someone...
Words that we speak will and ARE planted into our hearts.

I was remembering the Scripture that says in Luke 6:45
A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.

We're told that out of the abundance of our heart our mouth speaks.
Not only that the seed of it is already sown and is producing in our lives...and is reinforced with what we speak.

If we understood the power of our words, because we're made in the image of God, God creates by speaking those things that are not as though they already were...we'd be awakened to the fact that what we say is very powerful...to produce evil and to produce good.

I don't want to have to go about in my life pulling up what I've planted and having to replant an entire crop. I mean, I can, I will and I do so often...but it's so much better to just plant the right crop, you know.

I like this a lot....
Thoughts come to us all the time, but they'll die unborn if we don't say them.

I ask YOU God to help me, help us to take NO THOUGHT AND SPEAK them that I'll will bring me and others harm, and that I'll have to go dig up and replant. I want to be the sower of YOUR WORD, I desire YOUR CROP.... In Jesus' Name.
