Your Authority As A Beiever

Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
Luke 10:19

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
 While reading in Matthew recently, there were accounts of a lot of signs nd wonders that Jesus made happen. The centurion's servant, He healed, Peter's mother-in-law, He healed.  He healed the leper, I particularly enjoy reading about.  The man told Jesus, "Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean."  Jesus' compassionate response was, reaching over to touch him and saying, "I am willing, be cleaned."  I can almost hear Him say, "Of course I am." as he reached to touch the leper.
Jesus was going around helping people all the time.  He told us that if we've seen Him, we've seen the Father.  It wasn't a matter of showmanship, it was all a by product of His relationship with Father God.  Do we want to see and taste the miraculous?  What is our relationship with God like?  No or little relationship with Him, no supernatural.  Jesus was plugged into God, He was always stealing away from the crowd to be with Father.  Jesus was also known to say that He did not say or do anything that He did not hear or see Father do.  He was led by Holy Spirit.
There was also the account of when He and the boys were in the ship crossing over to the other side of the body of water.  He was down in the boat taking a nap, and the storm was overtaking the vessel. Now, these men, knew about the water, they made their living on it, and knew about the endurance of their ship, and they were not scared panty waist's when they went below to wake up Jesus to HELP them all.  They knew the craft was about to break up and then they'd be dead meat.
But He said to them, "Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?" Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.
So the men marveled, saying, "Who can this be, that even the winds and the sea obey Him?"
Matthew 8:26, 27
It's interesting to me that He was sleeping during this storm, eh?
Well, when He woke up, He soundly reprimanded the guys for being fearful and not having faith.
Jesus went top side and spoke to the wind and the waves and a great calm came.  The elements  obeyed Him.
I looked up that word obey - Strong's Concordance #5219:
To hear as a subordinate, listen attentively, obey as a subject, answer and respond, submit without reservation.  Hearing, responding, obeying.
I thought, well, that's right, it was Jesus' authority that the elements had to respond to.
Then the Lord reminded me of Genesis 1:26, 27, which says:
Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth." So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
At Creation.......
They corporately gave man dominion over.all the earth and everything in it and over every creeping thing, and the same power with their words as They.  In Their Likeness
That was the authority Jesus was operating in as a human. Acting like God, because He was made in the likeness of God, and God created with His Words.
In Genesis Chapter 1, we see 8 times what God did to create everything in the Heavens and the Earth.
And God Said
And God Said
And God Said
And God Said........
Jesus knew about the Scripture in Genesis 1:25, when He and Father created everything and gave dominion to mankind.  He stepped out into that Word and did it, taking His authority as a man over the wind and waves.  Anything he ever did, He expected His disciples to do as well,  that's why he reprimanded them, and WE are one of His disciples also.
Right now, as Believers, we became ONE by:
,,,that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.  Romans 10:9
That's how we receive ANYTHING God's Word tells us, for ourselves:
-BY BELIEVING IN OUR HEARTS
-CONFESSING WITH OUR MOUTHS
Is there something in front of you that is a torment in your life right now?
I'd like you to bear in mind what God said in Genesis 1:27 and that you truly have dominion over it, right now, at this time.
Jesus said:
"And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven."
Matthew 16:19\\
Jesus was equipping us to live a victorious life while we are here on this Earth.
Everything He and Father provided for us, we need it all.
-The armor of God - in Ephesians 6.
-The Name of Jesus, that every name that is named must bow to.  Ephesians 1.
-The Blood of the Lamb of God. Revelation 12:11
-The Sword of the Spirit, that is the WORD OF GOD.  Ephesians 6.  It's the only offensive part of our spiritual armor.  The other 5 are defensive.
-The Baptism of the Holy Spirit that the He sent for us to experience when Holy Spirit was sent to the Earth to live in and through us, with the evidence of speaking in other tongues, we're told that it is what delivers power that we need in this life. Acts 2
-The keys to the kingdom, the ability to bind and loose here on earth while taking authority that is needed while we live on this planet.  The authority of the Believer.  Matthew 16:19
And whatever else God's Word says are ours.
I ask God to HELP us to renew our minds to what and Who we are IN CHRIST.  We need to be able to live OVERCOMING lives, and not be spending our lives in defeat, despair and always at the mercy of whatever satan can belch out of hell towards us.  IN JESUS' NAME.
Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
Luke 10:19
AGAIN I say REJOICE
Rejoice in the Lord always, again I say, rejoice.
Philippians 4:4
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

There was a dark time in my life that I struggled with.......We all have those times, don't we?

We were living on the East Coast and I was carrying our #5 child, a wonderful young man that will be 30 in just a few days now.   WOOOOO HOOOOOO!  :)

I began to know that I was experiencing a miscarriage and, after speaking with the doctor, it was confirmed.
Found myself in my night clothes for about three days and nights, while I stayed in a recliner.  Being heart broken I asked the Lord what it was that I could do at that point.  In no uncertain terms, He spoke to my heart and let me know I had to FIGHT FOR THAT CHILD.  I understood about spiritual warfare and knew what He spoke of.  That I did.

After a time, the Lord spoke to my heart to get cleaned up, dress and quit mourning for the loss of the child. Again, I followed His instructions.  Looking for something to keep my hands and thoughts busy, I began to cross stitch a piece with this Scripture on it.  "Rejoice in the Lord Always Philippians 4:4" Praise and worship began to well up inside of me.

Not long ago I was listening to a man speaking, Pastor Jack Hayford, and he was talking about Joshua and the job God gave he and the Children of Israel.  God had given him specific instructions about marching around the circumference of the walled city, Jericho.  This land, including the city was part of the inheritance He was giving all the Children of Israel, and since the city fathers were not willing to negotiate with Joshua, they were told to march around the city. While marching around once a day for six days, they were to remain silent, until the seventh day, they were told to march around the city seven times, quietly, and at the end of the last go around, the praisers at front of their procession were to BLOW THEIR TRUMPETS and the people were to shout a shout of praise to God.  At that time, the GREAT wall, that people lived on, and was wide enough for homes .....ALL came down, down, down.

Pastor Hayford said that we were not to wilt in front of the walls that face us, but we're to circle around them SHOUTING SHOUTS OF PRAISE.

Praise I DID, I praised while sitting, I praised while arising, I praised while laying down, I praised and thanked God for the safe carriage and delivery of this child. I praised around everything that tried to present itself to me and my baby, it's always just a damnable devil, we know that because God said in His Word that the thief came  to steal kill and destroy, but that Jesus came to give life and to give it more abundantly.

When time came, we knew we were blessed with another son, whose name is JOSEPH. He's our sweet Joseph still.

I want to encourage whoever may be reading this, to NOT stand wilted and downcast at any wall that is hindering and opposing you.  You walk around it with PRAISES not only in your heart, but on your lips, until you see that wall come right on down and out of your way.  In the Name of Jesus.

REJOICE IN THE LORD ALWAYS

Happy Birthday, Joseph!

A Word For Fathers And The Body of Christ

Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet
Before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORDAnd he will turn
The hearts of the fathers to the children,
And the hearts of the children to their fathers,
Lest I come and strike the earth with a curse."
Malachi 4:5,6
"He will also go before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah, 'to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children,' [fn] and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just, to make ready a people prepared for the Lord."
Luke 1:17

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Elijah the prophet refers to John the Baptist, a man sent from God and came in the Spirit, in the power of Elijah’s anointing to prepare the way of the Lord and before the coming of the Great and Dreadful Day of the Lord – God says to get your house in order before My end time final world judgment is released  on all the world, rebellion and sin against My Commandments will be dealt with harshly.
Vs 6 says He shall turn the heart of fathers to the children and the heart of children to the fathers.  Lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.
God created all blessings for families.  Families are God’s will, His idea.  God’s creative Love working. We can be right with God and with each other, as we submit our will and trust in all things to God.
Fathers are commanded of God to lead, teach and take Godly family authority to maintain righteousness,  else our families suffer loss.
God says that relationships between Fathers and Families must be re-established, LEST THE CURST HAVE A PLACE TO SMITE.  God’s Word is first priority
Judges 5:2 – Praise the Lord for avenging God’s people when they willingly submitted themselves to God’s Word.
Matt.6:12 – Forgive us our sins as we forgive those that sin against us.
Church, we need the Lord.  I need to live by God's rules, I must see forgiveness, it looses God’s Life and brings victory and brings help and healing.
I have cried before God in my flesh in my hurt and my bitterness and got no better until I let God take out the arrows of poison. We  have all experienced them – I had to die to the flesh to get into the Holy Spirit’s presence.
It is a time to get right with God so we can get right with man. We are under a time of grace, let us not harden ours hearts, sin is raging like a flood all around.  Hate, unforgiveness, bitterness, murder, accusing, malice, diseases, sickness and dying. The Church of the Living God needs to cry out, repent, humble themselves and be healed – mind, heart, soul, body and spirit or we are just like the world; destroyed, killing, stealing, devouring, hating, sick, diseased. God has the cure.  It is His unchanging Word of Life to all who receive.  Obey.
If we are willing and obedient, we will eat the fruit of the land.  Obedience, humility, repentance, flesh crucified before God through our hurts.  The pain of arrows cry out,  "Be bitter, don’t forgive, you have a right to be carnal."  But I know and we all know we must cry out to God and get victory.  Get free.  Get obedient.  Get healed.
II Chronicles 7:14If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
I want to live and not die to declare the glory of God, for Jesus is coming soon!  The Church of the Living God MUST make ourselves ready, Rapture ready.
God Love and bless you in this prayer.  I desire your prayers.
AMERICA CAN BE SAVED
AMERICA CAN BE SAVED
Although I am not, by nature, an alarmist, I am writing you today to sound an alarm to alert you to a danger that has arisen in America in this hour, and to encourage you to respond to it with faith-filled action.
What I am about to say, I believe comes not just from me but from the heart of the Holy Spirit.  I am convinced He is speaking to us these days with great urgency and intensity.  And as we move though this 4th of July season, and are mindful of the blessings God has poured out on America, the Lord Himself is sounding the alarm.
He is re-awakening us, as Christians in America, to a call that is fundamental to the ministry of every believer.  He is alerting us to the danger we face and, for the sake of our country’s future, He is calling us to do the only thing that can avert it.
He is calling us back to the ministry of intercession.
For the past twenty years or so, the Church in America has drifted away from this ministry.  You may not be aware of it, if you are younger than I am (and, given my current age, most likely you are).  But from my vantage point the change is unmistakable.
In my early years when I began pastoring, intercessory prayer was woven into the very fabric of the Church. Our congregation at Church On The Way, like many others, was very much “into it”,  (as we might have said back then) not because intercession was hip or popular, but because in those days it was considered foundational to the Christian life.
Sadly, however, this is no longer the case.  Interceding congregations are scarce these days.
The praying Church in our nation has declined.  We are considerably distanced from the intercessory pattern that characterized the lives of Believers 30 or 40 years ago.  Although there are Believers here and there who know a good deal about it, multitudes of Christians don’t.  Even some of those who have been faithful intercessors in the past have let it slip.  Rather than continuing to watch and pray, some have drifted off to sleep.
I don’t mean to be melodramatic, Loved one, but this is the unvarnished truth: neglecting the ministry of intercession has cost us dearly. It has taken a great toll, not just on the Church but on our entire nation.
We see the evidence of it all around us: economic and governmental problems too numerous to mention, a disregard for Biblical values in our culture, an absence of the fear of the Lord.  As Believers, we are disappointed and frustrated by such conditions and are quick to voice our dismay.  We call for political action.  We talk about getting out the vote and booting out of office the politicians and government officials who got us unto this mess.  But the Scriptural reality is politicians and government officials are not the cause of our problems.
America is in the condition it is in today because of the prayerlessness of the Church!  Our nation is spiritually and morally sick because so many Christians are either unaware of God’s call to intercede, or unaware of how to go about it.
I am not suggesting that as Christians we should not vote and be active in government.  But our votes alone will not make enough difference.  Political activism will not meet the need.  No amount of human energy or enterprise can save this country.
The only thing that will save America now is prayer.
Some might consider this bad news, but it’s actually not.  The future of America, though seriously imperiled, is salvageable.  If the living Church will arise to be the Church that God intends, this nation can be turned around.  If Believers will once again become responsible and sensitive to the call to intercede, we will find God’s Word is still good.  His power is still sufficient.  In our day, as in the days of Solomon, He will fulfill His promise:
“If My people who are called by My Name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
II Chronicles 7:14-15
“But Pastor Jack”, you might say “The problems we face are so massive, I don’t know what to pray.  I’m so disgusted and distressed by them I don’t know where to start.”
Then start with forgiveness.  Forgiveness opens the doors to effective intercession.
Why?  Because to intercede is to step in on behalf of someone else.  It is to do for another, through prayer, what Jesus did for us.  As the ultimate Intercessor, He stood before God on our behalf when we were too unworthy, rebellious, or ignorant to stand before Him on our own.  “He bore the sin of many, and made intercession for them all.”  Isaiah 53:12
As Believers, we’re called to follow His example, to go to God in prayer for those who cannot and will not go to Him themselves. But we can’t do it with anger and irritation in our hearts. We can’t intercede for people when we’re mad at them. On the contrary, our intercession must begin, as Jesus’ did on the cross, with the cry, “Father, forgive them for they know not what they do!” Luke 23:24
That cry is not often heard in the church these days. It seems we are better schooled in political judgementalism analysis, and criticism than being the first to forgive. This is one reason the ministry of intercession has been crippled.
But you and I can help turn the tide We can ask God to forgive, not just the sinful and broken people around us, but everyone in our society, no matter how grotesque, corrupt, or evil they’ve become. Instead of calling for condemnation, we can say, “Lord, what’s happening in our nation is not worthy of You. It merits judgment but I ask for Your for mercy. Father, forgive us, as a people, and breathe on us Your redemptive grace.”
Can such simple prayers make a difference? Absolutely. You are an anointed child of the Most High God. Even a brief prayer uttered from your lips can change things.
What’s more, you don’t have to stop there.
You can do more. You can pray on-beyond yourself and your own abilities because, as Romans 8:26 says, “The Spirit… helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.”
Imagine a child trying to put together a puzzle that’s too complicated for him. Then envision a father taking hold of the child’s hand and helping him put the pieces in the right places. That’s what the Holy Spirit does for us. As we yield to Him in intercession, He helps us. He takes hold together with us and gives us spiritual words and groanings that are beyond our natural comprehension so that we can pray exactly the right thing.
Oh, how good and great is our God! I simply can’t fit in this letter all I want to say about Him and what He’s calling us to do in this hour.
Beloved, America can be saved! You and I, as Abraham’s spiritual seed, we can help bring God’s blessing on this nation. So let’s do it. Let’s change history by rising up and being the Church God intends us to be.
