Body of Christ in the Land of Goshen

You shall dwell in the land of Goshen, and you shall be near to me, you and your children, your children’s children, your flocks and your herds, and all that you have. Genesis 45:10

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The account of God's people being in the land of Goshen, a place in Egypt, where they lived during the 10 plagues that came upon Egypt because Pharaoh would not allow God's people to leave. God sent Moses there to petition Pharaoh to release God's people, and it was refused. Each time he refused Moses, a plague came upon the land. The leader of that country brought curses upon his people and land.
God's people (the Nation of Israel) were in an area called Goshen, and when the plagues came upon the land, God protected them in Goshen.
The account is laid out in Exodus chapters 7-11.
The plagues were:
1. Water turned to blood.....all the water in the land
2. Frogs
3. Lice
4. Flies
5. Livestock died - all
6. Boils
7. Hail mixed with fire
8. Locusts
9. Darkness
10, Death of firstborn,
All during the account of those 5 chapters, over and over again it spoke of the protection of God's people in Goshen.
In Numbers 22 there is an account of Balaam and Balak (king of Moab), and Balak hired Balaam (a prophet) to curse Israel, and he would not. He told Balak, how can I curse what God has blessed.
I will bless those who bless you,
And I will curse him who curses you;
And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.
Genesis 12:3
God is speaking to the Nation of Israel – Any people, nation, government that curses, and stands against Israel has God to deal with. I DO NOT WANT TO BE AMONG THEM.
Our leader has continued to stand against and not supported Israel while he’s been in office. According to God’s Word, the result is a curse upon the people that do.
I do not receive the curse that our president has brought upon himself. I am not part of this, do not agree with his policies and do not receive any of it. I do now, and have always prayed for, supported Israel, and will not ever do anything else. I do bless and have always blessed Israel, I, in turn, shall be blessed.
I also believe that the majority of this country are part of the Body of Christ, and bless and support Israel. Regardless of what happens in this country, I continue to pray for her, stand in the gap for her, and pray as we’re told to in
I Timothy 2:1,2 Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.
Just like the Nation of Israel (God’s Children) was in the country of Egypt, in the land of Goshen….God had them protected from each and every curse that came upon the land.
I may live in this grand country, and am proud to be here, and thankful that God arranged it so…..but any curse that may be approaching this country because leadership that is lacking….I’m also in Goshen. I’m part of the Body of Christ, I am God’s child.
As the bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying, so the curse causeless shall not come. Proverbs 26:2
Just like the Nation of Israel was instructed to take the lamb and eat it, take it’s blood and apply it to the doors of their homes….that is what we’re to be doing all the time, not just during grievous times.
The Lamb we take is the Word of God, and we eat all of it….all the time.
-In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:1
-And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John 1:14
-That which was from the beginning,which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; I John 1:1
-And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. Revelation 19:13
The Blood we apply over our homes and families, is the precious Blood of Jesus. We call upon the Blood of Jesus and plead it over our lives and in prayer just as a good lawyer would plead our case in a courtroom. It IS the finished work of Jesus that the enemy of our lives cannot overcome, it has already defeated him.
We take the Lamb, we take the Blood and use it….we are in the Land of Goshen.
All around us, mens hearts are failing with what we see in our land.
-And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;
- Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.
-And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
Luke 21:25-27
In Galatians 3:13, 14 we’re told:
-Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed isevery one that hangeth on a tree
-That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
That covenant God made with Abraham is found in Deuteronomy 28. The blessings and the curses. The blessings are found in the first 14 verses…and the curses go on through the end of the chapter.
Jesus redeemed us from the curse of the law….this is what Jesus redeemed us from. Go take a look.
I thank God that He has made such a wonderful place for us in the Secret Place of the Most High, under the Shadow of the Almighty. (Psalm 91) That marvelous place of protection.
Every time that satan came to Jesus to tempt Him, Jesus said three words…”..it is written.”….then proceeded to tell satan what God said about it.
I thank God that His provision and His peace was made with the finished work of Jesus. Regardless of what is flying around our country, and the news that is intended to bring fear, making it’s way into all of our homes, we have the opportunity to take a deep breath, eat the Lamb, Call upon the Blood, and run into and stay in the Secret Place of the Most High.
In Jesus’ Name.
Who Hindered You?
Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage
Galatians 5:1
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Well, we KNOW WHO has hindered us, don't we? The only face we're to put to that is satan. If he influenced someone to bring us to places where we are again enslaved, with a yoke of bondage, or if he just brought to us whispers from hell that may have gripped our heart, he's out to steal, kill and destroy. That's all he knows how to do. (John 10:10)
None of us can afford to allow there to be distance put between us and the Lord. No fear, no torment, no doubt and unbelief, no lack of peace, no lack of any kind. We cannot afford to allow "who" to grip our hearts and take hold - to steal us away from God.
While I was growing up, the only time I remember the song below, was during the end of a service, when there was a call for people to come to salvation. Salvation is not just our ticket out of hell, It is EVERYTHING God has provided for us.
-to be saved from suffering
-to be kept safe
-to be delivered
-to be rescued
-to be taken out of destruction, danger and peril
-to be restored to health
God is always calling us softly and tenderly, to remove distance between us, and waiting for our response to His Love and Care.
Sin? Well, I John 1:9 tells us that if we confess our sin that He is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
We've also been given instructions to give NO PLACE to the devil, because he belongs under our feet.(Ephesians 4:27);
He knows how to create within us a clean heart and how to restore a right spirit within us. (Psalm 51:10)
All we have to do is to respond to His Loving Call to our hearts....in the Name of Jesus.
Father, HELP us to quickly respond to the voice of Your Spirit. HELP us to be willing and obedient, and not only know You, but WALK with You, all the days of our lives, in the Name of Jesus
Softly and tenderly Jesus is calling,
  1. Calling for you and for me;
    See, on the portals He’s waiting and watching,
    Watching for you and for me.
    • Refrain:
      Come home, come home,
      You who are weary, come home;
      Earnestly, tenderly, Jesus is calling,
      Calling, O sinner, come home!
  2. Why should we tarry when Jesus is pleading,
    Pleading for you and for me?
    Why should we linger and heed not His mercies,
    Mercies for you and for me?
  3. Time is now fleeting, the moments are passing,
    Passing from you and from me;
    Shadows are gathering, deathbeds are coming,
    Coming for you and for me.
  4. Oh, for the wonderful love He has promised,
    Promised for you and for me!
    Though we have sinned, He has mercy and pardon,
    Pardon for you and for me.

Your Identity Determines Your Future

The following is from a daily devotional by
Jerry Sevelle
and had been taken from:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Your Identity Determines Your Future
For as [a man] thinks in his heart, so is he (Proverbs 23:7 NKJV).
If you want your future to improve, the first thing you need to do is change your identity, meaning what you see yourself to be. Your life today is a result of how you have viewed your identity in the past, and you will never think, speak, or act in a way that is contrary to your identity.
Gideon transformed from being a coward into a man of great courage the moment he took on a new identity (see Judges 6). When God called him a mighty man of valor, Gideon received his new identity and went on to become a strong and courageous leader. The only thing that changed that day was Gideon’s identity; he saw himself as God saw him.
Gideon could have been a mighty man all along, but God had to bring him to the point where he identified with God’s might rather than his own cowardice.
If you’re fed up with being the way you are and dealing with the same old problems, you can become a new person by taking on a new identity. You can throw off the old identity that you took on from other people, circumstances, and the world. Then you can take on the identity that was given to you by your loving heavenly Father, and become the person He always intended you to be.
When you made Jesus Christ your Lord and Savior, your position became “in Him” or “in Christ.” Now that you are in Him, you have access to the future God has prepared for you—a future that overflows with success, fulfillment, and prosperity in every area of your life.
But let me offer a word of caution: If you cling to your old identity you’ll never experience life to the full. I’ve seen people who have been saved for forty years and still have not discovered who they really are. They still they they’re losers who will never amount to much.
Just as Gideon had to receive his God-given identity, so you must receive your identity in Christ. Choose to identify with Him and to enjoy the abundant future that God has determined for you.
Confession: In Him I am a new creation. I am victorious, an overcomer who can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. My future overflows with success, fulfillment, and prosperity in every area of my life.
No Murmuring Allowed
Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
Hebrews 12:1
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

While I was reading this evening I came across
NKJV I Cor. 10:10 that says: nor complain, as some of them also complained, and were destroyed by the destroyer.
KJV says:  Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.

To murmur according to Greek in Strongs Concordance means: murmur say anything against in a low tone, of those that confer secretly together, of those who discontentedly complain..

Psalm 106:21-27 tells us this:
21 They forgot God their saviour, which had done great things in Egypt;
22 Wondrous works in the land of Ham, and terrible things by the Red sea.
23 Therefore he said that he would destroy them, had not Moses his chosen stood before him in the breach, to turn away his wrath, lest he should destroy them.
24 Yea, they despised the pleasant land, they believed not his word:
25 But murmured in their tents, and hearkened not unto the voice of the Lord.
26 Therefore he lifted up his hand against them, to overthrow them in the wilderness:
27 To overthrow their seed also among the nations, and to scatter them in the lands.

In this account in Psalm, the people had forgotten their Savior, God, and all He’d done for them.  God had determined to destroy them, but Moses interceded on their behalf.  Their lives had deteriorated to the point of murmuring and complaining in their homes and would not listen to the voice of the Lord to them.  It’s a dangerous place for any of us to be in.  Having an unthankful heart will lead us to forget all God has done for us and then, just like in I Corinthians 10:10 it says, they were destroyed by the destroyer

Something about us is always destroyed when we murmur – it may be fellowship or communion with God; it may be health and strength and joy – something will surely be destroyed, for God said so.

They would not listen to the voice of the Lord to them.  Are we listening to the voice of God to us, in our spirit and through His Word?  WE MUST take what He says to heart and not only listen but DO what He says to each of us.  Simple really….Listen and Do, Listen and Do, Listen and Do.

Philippians 2:1-16 has this to say:
14 Do all things without murmurings and disputings:
15 That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;
16 Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.

Father, HELP us to always have a thankful heart towards You, that we NOT forget all You have done for us.  We purpose not to give place to the destroyer to destroy any part of our lives. Father nobody has a better idea than You, and the sooner that we understand that, the sooner we will be able to cut off access the devil would have in our lives and that of our families.  Thank You for Your mercy towards us. We WILL offer You praise for all You are, for all You have done for us, for all the strength You give us to DO as You lead us - We choose NOT to murmur and complain, In Jesus' Name.

Lester Sumrall's 7 Troubling Prophecies Over America

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~`
Lester Sumrall went home to be with the Lord in 1996, but his legacy continues—and his God-breathed prophetic words are still alive.
In this 1987 video Mr. Sumrall, whose spiritual father was Smith Wigglesworth, shares seven prophetic insights God revealed to his heart, earlier in his walk with the Lord. I wish they weren't accurate, but it seems he heard rightly. You can watch the video to see all the warnings.
What our obligation is now, as it has always been, is to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with all we can. We're charged to live right in God's eyes, according to His Word, and be prepared for the Catching Away (Rapture) of His people.  In the Bible we are told of the parable of the 10 Virgins, that 5 were wise, and 5 were foolish.Virgins in Matthew 25.
The 5 wise Virgins had lived diligently and prepared their lives to meet the Bridegroom, and the 5 foolish ones did not.  God has already told us in His Word - Hebrews 12:14 - Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord.
Have you thought about your need for Christ?  If not, you may come HERE to learn how to become part of God's family and be ready to meet our Bridegroom (Jesus) when He returns for us.  He wants to make His home in us and is eager to bring us into safe places in our lives, regardless of what is taking place in our country, and across the globe.
The 20 minute clip of Lester Sumrall can be viewed HERE.
