Why We Need God

As people that are honest with their need, recognize they need a Savior, you and I are the same in this regard. We are both sinners and we need a Savior. That’s not an insult to your intelligence, and not an insult to your sincerity of effort, we just don’t make it when it comes to God’s standards, there is something that is broken in all of us, it’s called sin.
Jesus died to make a way for sin to be neutralized so we could come to God with a clear heart and conscience and be changed. Changed with a life giving power within us that is called the New Birth. It’s not just a show and slogan; it’s truly being transformed. And so our being the same, as sinners that need a Savior, the only difference is, have you received the Savior?
There is only One, that is not a matter of narrow mindedness – there are many religions, and I’m sure many of them…all of them have sincerity to them. One of them has a person who came and claimed to be God in the flesh and verified it, I mean. Because He said He was coming to die for us and He arose from he dead and proved He was Who He said He was and is and His Name is Jesus, the Son of God.
I want to invite you to open your heart to Him, and as we do, just speak these words now, will you?
Lord Jesus Christ, I come to You. I come turning form my way to Your Way. For Yours is the Way of Life and I say, “Come into my life, work Your power, Your forgiveness and make me to be the person that I was created to be. Forgive me, Father through Jesus.”
Jesus said that no one comes to the Father but by Him, and now I come together with the Savior into the presence of God, Who will open to me and would have me receive the privilege of saying: “Your sins be forgiven you, now…move on.”
Find a church. Don’t be snobbish about it. Ask God to lead you to a church where He wants you to be, a place where they say that Jesus is the Lord and the Word of God is truth, and begin to grow with other people who know Him.
God bless you.

Is Your Heart Big?

But Jesus called them to Him and said, "Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God. "Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it."
Luke 18:16, 17

My husband and I have been married 45 years, and have been blessed with eight WONDERFUL children.  Our oldest is 45 this year and our youngest is 25.  What a wonderful adventure it's been.

When our youngest one was about 2 1/2 years old, she came to me while I was busy at my table with a book and paper work.  She blurted out, "I'm not saved!"  After hearing what she said, and gathering my wits about me, I asked her if she wanted to ask Jesus into her heart.  The look I got was priceless, like only a 2 1/2 year old can look like, the "why do you think I'm here for' kind of look.

I proceeded telling her about who Jesus was and why He was born.  She promptly told me that she already knew all of that.

I asked her if she wanted to pray and she let me know that's why she came to me.
She prayed, and repeated after me, and when we were finished, her eyes remained closed and she breathed a deep breath saying, "Oh Mamma, now my heart is Big."

For the next few days, she would run to me from the back yard, or from her bedroom saying, "MAMMA, MAMMA, is so-and-so's heart big?"  Finally, on our way home from church one night, she woke up from a nap and asked me, for the last time, if another's heart was big.  She was then satisfied that everyone important in her life had a "Big Heart."

Rabbi Jonathan Cahn is addressing the Prayer Breakfast in Washington DC, a few weeks ago, with a wonderful Word for them/and us all.
It's a 14 minute clip, but by the time you finish it you will lhave your shout going on, and a song of victory.
YOU, WE ALL HAVE SOMETHING TO DO.

You may access the clip by going HERE.

If my people, which are called by my name,
shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face,
and turn from their wicked ways;
then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
II Chronicles 7:14

For those who may not have capability to run a video to view, I have it transcribed here:

Rabbi Jonathan Cahn
National Day of Prayer 2016
Washington D. C.

Who gave you the power to annul the Word of the Almighty?

Let’s rise for a moment.
The sacred gatherings of Israel were heralded by the sounds of the shofar, and this is a sacred gathering.  Blow the trumpet in Zion, sanctify a fast, and call a solemn assembly.  Gather the people, assemble the elders, cry aloud, do not hold back, lift up your voice like a trumpet.
(Rabbi Cahn then put on his shawl over his head and blew the shofar)

This is the sound of God’s power, as we pray for America, Amen.
You may be seated.

Why are we here?  386 years ago, a ship called the “Arbella” journeyed across the Atlantic Ocean to the New World. Aboard that ship was John Winthrop, who had penned the founding vision of the civilization to be known as America.  “If we would follow the ways of God,” he wrote, “then the Lord would be our God, and a light to dwell among us as His own people and command a blessing on us, on all our ways.  He shall make us praise and a glory, for we must consider that we shall be as a city on a hill. “

America was to be a city on a hill to which the eyes of all the people would look.  The vision would come true.  America would become the most blessed, powerful and prosperous nation the world has ever seen.  A city on a hill and a praise and a glory in the Earth.

In the history of the world only two civilizations came into existence on the solitary foundation of God’s calling and purposes.  The first was called Israel.  The second was called America.  In fact, the founding vision of America was based on the template of ancient Israel, but in the days of her blessing, Israel turned away from God and His ways, from the God of her blessings. They drove Him out of it’s government, out of it’s culture, out of it’s national life.  It celebrated the ways of godlessness and lifted up it’s children on the altars of Ba’al and Moloch, and called what was evil good and what was good evil.

So too, America, in her blessing, has turned from the God of her blessings.  The city on the hill that was founded for the purposes of God, now drove God out of it’s government, it’s culture, it’s public squares.  The city on the hill that was dedicated to the glory of God now glorified ungodliness and call evil good and good evil.  The city on the hill that was consecrated to be a light to the nations, now lifted up it’s most innocent and helpless and slaughtered them on the altars of self-obsession and it’s collective hands are covered with the blood of millions.

The city on a hill has grown darkened, it has forgotten the God of it’s foundation. The temples of it’s culture have become expunged of His presence, and are now filled with idols in His place.  It’s forgotten the warning of it’s foundation, the warning embedded in the vision of the city on the hill, for it was also prophesied; if our hearts should turn away so that we will not obey, but shall be seduced to worship other gods, our pleasures, our prophets and serve them, we shall surely perish.

In other words, if we do so, we shall stand at the precipice of judgment. The city on the hill has also forgotten the warning given by it’s first president.  Prophetic warning given in his first speech, on America’s first day as a constituted nation, it was said:  “The propitious smiles of Heaven can never be expected on a nation that disregards the Eternal Rules of Order and Right, which Heaven itself has ordained.

In other words, if America ever disregarded the Eternal Rules of Order and Right, ordained by God, the blessings of God would be removed from the land.

Ten months ago, in this city named after the one who gave that warning, America disregarded the Eternal Rules of Order and Right that Heaven itself had ordained as it’s highest courts struck down the very order of God. And the day it did so was a Biblical day.  It was the 9th of Tamer, the ancient day of mourning that commemorates  the day that the nations hedge of protection was removed in the approach of judgment.  So it must be asked, this day, Supreme Court Justices, where did you get the authority to overrule the rulings of the Most Hight?  And by what authority did you strike down the laws of the Eternal? And who gave you the power to annul the Word of the Almighty and pass judgment on the Judge of all existence?  You are neither the highest court nor the final authority.  There is a Supreme Judge Who wields a Supreme Justice that will not sleep forever.  And Mr. President, did you not lay your hand on the Word of God to assume the oath of your presidency?  Then how did you take the same hand and inact words and laws that was against the very Word on which your swore your oath?  And you uttered the words, “So help me God.”  But on the day, that the order of God was struck down you issued the order to illuminate the White House in the colors of the rainbow to celebrate that striking down.  Mr. President, by what authority did you take the sacred colors of God’s covenant, colors of His throne, and the colors of His Mercy in the face of judgment and turn them against the purposes of God and the Word of God on which you swore your oath?  Does the president have the power to veto the ordinances of the Living God?

America now stands at the crossroads, and we are now asked to choose between one who has said, “Deep seated religious beliefs must be changed” so that the killing of the unborn can be increased, and one who says he will make America great again. But America cannot be great without turning to the God of it’s greatness.  Without humility, repentance and revival, the ambition for greatness will end up as nothing more than a Tower of Babel. Kings may be a judgment on a nation that has turned away from it’s King.  There is a time to stand and a time to fall on our faces.  We must stand, but know the time has come to fall on our faces before God.

We’ve come here today because our trust is not in man or woman.  We’ve come here today to seek the power of God.

Thirty six years ago, America stood at a precipice.  It’s economy was in shambles, it was crippled by an energy crisis and embargo.  It’s standing around the world was at dangerously low levels, it’s enemies were advancing, it’s citizens were being held hostage in Iran, and every day it’s television sets were filled with images of masses chanting “Death to America.  Death to America.”  Then our nations military sent a rescue mission that collapsed in the desert, and now the dead bodies of American soldiers were put on display in Iran.  It looked as if the sun had set on the American age.

However, at that same time in history, Believers from around the nation were led to gather in Washington D.C. to pray, to repent and seek the mercy of God on this nation.  They came because of one Scripture, the promise God gave to Israel “If My people who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their evil ways, I will hear from Heaven, I will forgive their sins and I will heal their land.”  So they gathered on the Washington Mall and declared that Scripture, “My people who are called by My name,” over and over and over again, and they lifted up two prayers above all; that where America’s power had failed, the power of God would release the hostages. Then lifting up their hands to the Western side of the Capital Building, they prayed that God would bring into power those of His choosing.  It was Spring, as it is now, before a Presidential election, that November there was a revolution at the polls and those who ran on a platform of returning God to it’s Biblical foundation, were swept into power and namely a new president, Ronald Reagan, who spoke of a need of a Spiritual Revial and of America as a city on a hill.  That January was the inauguration, and the president elect switched the site of the inauguration from where it had been for over a century to the Western terrace of the Capital.  So he was now standing on the very place to which the Believers had pointed their arms and prayed to God to bring power to those who He will.  He was now facing outward to the Washington Mall, where the Believers had prayed, and lifted their hands from where they prayed to free the hostages.  And then, as he was sworn into presidency, that very hour, the hostages were released.  The two prayers answered in the very same moment, and from that moment came a massive change in world history and a national resurgence.  America’s economic power began to rebuild as did the military power and it’s standing in the world.  It’s archenemy, the Soviet Union began to collapse. America would emerge as the worlds only super power, it would be called “Morning in America.”  But that altering, that transforming of world history began with the prayers of God’s people, and that Scripture, “If My people who are called by My name…”  And the moment that that transformation began was when the new president put his hand on the Bible and took the oath of presidency. But what was it on which he placed his hand, and on which history changed?  He placed his hand on the Scripture, the history of the world changed on a Scripture. And what was that Scripture? It is this:  “If My people who are called by My Name, will humble themselves and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their evil ways, I will hear from Heaven, I will forgive their sins and I will heal their land.”

That is why we are gathered here today, because God is real, His Word is true, and the prayers of His people are stronger than nations, stronger than super powers and stronger than history itself.  And therein is our hope and the choice in the end is not between one candidate and another, it is between God and Ba’al.  We stand here at this critical hour between two altars and two gods, and the voice of the Lord cries out, “Choose you this day whom you will serve.”

Seventy years ago the chaplain of the U.S. Senate cried out to America and said, “If the Lord is God then serve Him, if Ba’al then serve him and go to hell.”  That word and that warning is all the more critical today.  So we have come to Washington D.C. not to seek the agency of government, but to seek the agency of the Holy Spirit. Not to lobby those who occupy high office, but to plead with Him who occupies the office of the Most High and not to call the abilities of men, but to invoke the power of the Almighty for revival, for there is no other way but revival. So we commit ourselves now to pray for that revival and not only to pray for that revival but by the power of God to walk in that revival.  We have come here because our trust and our hope is not in man, but in God.  Specifically, our trust and hope is in the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. The God of Moses and the God of Elisha, the God of the Red Sea, and the God of the resurrection.  The God of the impossible. We have come to the throne of the sovereign, Almighty Living God of Israel and we cry out from this place, HAVE MERCY,  HAVE MERCY, HAVE MERCY ON THIS LAND.  Lift up again Your eyes on this city on the hill and HAVE MERCY, that Your power be seen again in this nation.  Let it fall on the heartland.  Let it fall on the coastland, let it fall on the cities, let it fall on this Capital. Let there be revival in this land.  Let the lost be saved, let the saved be revived, no matter what it takes.  Let there be revival in the land. For some trust in chariots, some trust in princes, some trust in supreme courts, some trust in White Houses, some trust in candidates, and some trust in idols, but we will trust in the Name of the Lord our God. The Name above all names. Above all kings, above all power.  We will trust in the only Name given by which we must be saved. We will trust in the Name of Yeshua Ha-Mashiach, Jesus the Messiah, the King of all kings, the Lord of all lords, the Judge of all judges, the Might of all the world, the glory of Israel, the foundation stone upon which this nation came into existence.  And the only answer, the only chance, the only hope that America has, that it might once again become a city on a hill to shine with the Light of the presence of the Glory of the Living God and be again a praise and a glory in this Earth.
So help us God.
Amen

How Faith Is Released

Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
Be acceptable in Your sight,
O LORD, my strength and my Redeemer.
Psalm 19:14

How Faith Is Released

Not long ago, my husband loaned his car to one of our children, theirs needed repairs that he was going to make .... It wasn't but a couple of days that I got a phone call telling me that there was an accident and quite a bit of damage done to it.  There was no other car involved and the insodent was really avoidable.  I assured that child that it was alright it would all work out, and the important thing was that there were no injuries......and that I give it to God and it would ALL work out just fine, we prayed and got off the phone.\

After hanging up the phone, I asked God how to approach my husband, because it was news that had potential to really upset him.  He works nights, and was still sleeping.  I asked the Lord how I should approach him with this news.  I was pleased and thankful for His response.  When it came time to wake up my husband, before he got out of bed, we had a little bit of small talk about the events of the day/week.  I then asked Him what the purpose for trials were.  After thinking a few moments, he said it was to develop character.  He talked about how it is to produce patience and that patience is to develop character.  At that point, I gave him the news about his car. After laying still for a few moments, he shot out of the bed and began to rant, then he stopped in the middle of his sentence and looked at me.  He knew what he had to do, to allow patience to have it's perfect work and allow it to be a stepping stone to further develop his character. We were able to pray about it, and cast it over onto the Lord to bring peace to us both....over the entire situation.

I am so grateful and THANKFUL that Father was able to HELP my husband, and that there was not a ripple affect of him being upset.  Later on that day, he happened to have dropped in where they were having lunch , and reassured them that, even though the damages were extensive, it would all work out very well, and that he was able to make repairs to even that one.

I am thankful that God Helped us to release our faith, with faith-filled Words, and to hold fast to HIS WORDS.

Let the Sword fight the battle.
The devil is trying to take the seed of God's Word out of our mouths.
Don't allow the devil to draw you into a fight with him.
We're not fighting sickness, we're not fighting disease, we're not fighting discord, unfortunate circumstances etc etc.
We're fighting the good fight of faith.
satan (and NO, I do NOT capitalize his name) is trying to take the Word out of our mouths.

The sower sows the Word and satan comes immediately to steal it.  Mark 4;13-20
THAT'S his biggest enemy is the Word of God.
Why?
You start believing it -- Faith comes -- and he's had it, he's finished.
James 1:2 tells us: My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials.
..............the JOY OF THE LORD IS OUR STRENGTH.

It's IMPERATIVE that we get God's Word on the inside of us, and the Scriptures that I've listed below are all a sobering reminder of our part.

But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.  For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.
Matthew 12:36, 37

A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.
Luke 6:45

We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak
II Corinthians 4:13

Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus
Profession same as Confession
Hebrews 3:1

Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.
Hebrews 4:14

Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee.
Proverbs 4:24

There is one who speaks like the piercings of a sword,
But the tongue of the wise promotes health.
Proverbs 12:18

A man shall eat well by the fruit of his mouth,
But the soul of the unfaithful feeds on violence.
Proverbs 13:2

"I create the fruit of the lips:
Peace, peace to him who is far off and to him who isnear,"
Says the LORD,
"And I will heal him."
Isaiah 57:19

A wholesome tongue is a tree of life,
But perverseness in it breaks the spirit.
Proverbs 15:4

The words of a man's mouth are deep waters;
The wellspring of wisdom is a flowing brook.
Proverbs 18:4

A fool's mouth is his destruction,
And his lips are the snare of his soul.
Proverbs 18:7

Death and life are in the power of the tongue,
And those who love it will eat its fruit.
Proverbs 18:21

Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
Be acceptable in Your sight,
O LORD, my strength and my Redeemer.
Psalm 19:14

It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.
John 6:63

LET THE WEAK SAY I AM STRONG
Joel 3:10

Father, THANK YOU for HELPING us.  For HELPING us to become all You know we need to be.  HELP us to put Your Word in front of our eyes, in our ears, fill up our spirit with it, so it can come out of our mouths when we need Your HELP.  In Jesus' Name.

The MINORITY REPORT - Two Men Who Believed God

I was reading in the book of Numbers today. The account of the 12 spies that were sent out to check out Canaan is here. Chapters 13 and 14. Numbers 13:1, 2 - And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, "Send men to spy out the land of Canaan, which I am giving to the children of Israel; from each tribe of their fathers you shall send a man, every one a leader among them."
The guys were chosen, and most of us know the story how Joshua and Caleb were among them.
Upon returning they were asked for a report of their mission.
A spokesperson started in verse 22 saying: -Then they told him, and said: "We went to the land where you sent us. It truly flows with milk and honey, and this is its fruit. THEN he began to innumerate all the reasons why they COULD NOT take the land.
At that point Caleb spoke up to say: in vs. 30- Then Caleb quieted the people before Moses, and said, "Let us go up at once and take possession, for we are well able to overcome it."
God made provision for them to take it and Joshua and Caleb KNEW that regardless of the potential difficulties they saw, with God WITH THEM, they were all well able to overcome them.
In Numbers 31-33 the other 10 fellows began to, again, make a case as to why they could NOT take the land. They gave a bad report - an evil report.
These people were amazing.....ungrateful, unthankful, disbelieving, crying and belly aching AGAIN. This was by no means the first time they voiced these things.
Numbers 14:1- 5 So all the congregation lifted up their voices and cried, and the people wept that night.  And all the children of Israel complained against Moses and Aaron, and the whole congregation said to them, "If only we had died in the land of Egypt! Or if only we had died in this wilderness!  "Why has the LORD brought us to this land to fall by the sword, that our wives and children should become victims? Would it not be better for us to return to Egypt?"  So they said to one another, "Let us select a leader and return to Egypt."  Then Moses and Aaron fell on their faces before all the assembly of the congregation of the children of Israel.
BUT - vs. 6-10 says: But Joshua the son of Nun and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, who were among those who had spied out the land, tore their clothes;  and they spoke to all the congregation of the children of Israel, saying: "The land we passed through to spy out is an exceedingly good land.  "If the LORD delights in us, then He will bring us into this land and give it to us, 'a land which flows with milk and honey.'  "Only do not rebel against the LORD, nor fear the people of the land, for they are our bread; their protection has departed from them, and the LORD is with us. Do not fear them."   And all the congregation said to stone them with stones. Now the glory of the LORD appeared in the tabernacle of meeting before all the children of Israel.
GOD WAS FED UP WITH THIS UNGRATEFUL LOT OF PEOPLE.  He'd shown Himself strong on their behalf to DELIVER them, to KEEP them, to PROTECT them, to miraculously FEED them, showing MIRACLE after MIRACLE of His saving and keeping POWER.
Numbers 14:11, 12Then the LORD said to Moses: "How long will these people reject Me? And how long will they not believe Me, with all the signs which I have performed among them? "I will strike them with the pestilence and disinherit them, and I will make of you a nation greater and mightier than they."
God wanted to scrap the whole bunch of them, kill them and start over with Moses.
We know how Moses entreated the Lord and INTERCEDED for them.
But the consequences of their UNBELIEF was a death sentence. They'd not make it out of the desert alive and never see the PROMISED Land.  Only those young whipper snappers, Joshua and Caleb and those 20 years of age and younger would journey there.....Alive, with THANKFUL and GLAD hearts for what the LORD HAD DONE FOR THEM.

There's a lot to be said about UNBELIEF
It caused me to remember that place over in:
Heb. 3:12 that says: Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God. verse 19 says: So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.
Heb. 10:38 - Now the just shall live by faith;
But if anyone draws back, My soul has no pleasure in him.”
The devil is one sly dog, huh?
What lies does the devil tell you about God and His Word.  We are to put them under our feet, and not consider them.  We are WELL ABLE to believe and receive what God has PROMISED US.

I ask GOD to HELP us BELIEVE HIM...BELIEVE HIS WORD.  HIS PROMISES are yea and amen to all of them.  We will NOT have an evil heart of unbelief, In the Name of Jesus.
