Intent of the Word

I mentioned last week that there were some really good videos HERE
I took only a few very loose notes of todays presentation. Only about 20 minutes long....but oh so good.
Get on over there and listen to ALL of it. Is really good.
These notes are just a smidgen, and very loose, but I'm leaving them as they are ... just notes.

Intent of the Word.

If we sow good seed long enough it will choke out the thorns.
The kingdom of God...seek first the Kingdom of God and all these other things will be added unto you.
It's not just the Word or the care of this world...without the Word the other stuff is going to get in there.
God said it chokes the Word.
Matthew 6 where it's talking about the kingdom of God, he tells us how it enters in.
vs. 31...therefore take no thought SAYING.
He's telling us that the way we take a thought is by saying.
Thoughts come to us all the time, but they'll die unborn if we don't say them.

Take no thought saying.....

Faith always stops at the question mark.
What are we going to do.... the price of gas is past God's provision?

This wilderness experience is to make us stronger? Hey check out the scriptures, it didn't make Israel stronger....it killed them. And if we stay in it long enough, it'll kill us too.
The wilderness experience killed Israel.
The two that made it through there was strong when they got there. Joshua and Caleb said that they were well able...let's do it.
Because of the others, Joshua and Caleb we kept out for 40 years. Caleb was 80+ years old when they crossed over and was ready to take the mountain promised him. Wilderness experience doesn't make you more stronger, it's meant to destroy us...if we act on the Word THAT will make us stronger.
Jesus said that in adversity and when these things come, they fall away.
If God was the one causing the problems...if trials and tests made us stronger, we'd all be spiritual giants right now.

Don't speak things that are contrary to the Word of God. Because it allows you to take thought that doesn't belong to us....anxious thought.
God supplies all our needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

That's how things enter into our heart is by taking thought by saying....
Well I can already see that we don't have the money for blah blah blah......and sure enough they don't.
...because it's in your mouth and in your heart, and you are led by that information you planted in there to make wrong decisions. It won't be God that did it, it will be you taking the wrong thought and putting it in the garden, in the parable of the sower it says that the sower sows the word.

The intent of the Word...
Luke 18:1-5 If you take the wrong intent of the Scripture you can be crippled in your prayer life.
The widow and the unjust judge....have heard it preached wrong all my life.
...people are comparing God to this unjust judge. Just worry wart God and keep on praying....The judge was only troubled not wearied...
I will avenge her lest by her continual coming....she hadn't been continually coming yet. He knew the infliction in her voice....YOU AVENGE ME OF MY ADVERSARY...the judge knew what she was about and knew what she WOULD be doing if he didn't do something about it. She had not been to him repeatedly.

Shall not God avenge His own elect? He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of Man comes will He find faith upon the earth?

Trials and tests are not to perfect our faith.

John 9:1-2 Jesus and the fellow blind from birth.
Who sinned that he should be born blind. The Jews believed that you could sin in your mothers womb.
Jesus' answer was "neither", has this man sinned nor his parents. You have to determine from the context that it was not the parents sin or his sin that caused him to be blind.
People say he was born blind so God could heal him.
That the works of God should be manifest in him...if God's work is going to be manifest, I'm going to have to work it.

He made clay of the spit and anointed the mans eyes. Jesus said to wash in the pool of Saloam, when he washed, he came seeing. NOW the works of God is manifest. He wasn't blind so He could work the works of God. Jesus is not going to talk contrary to the Word. If the works of God is going to be manifest in him, I must work them.
Sin was not the key issue at all...it's the Works of God that is the key issue here.

This man also represents Israel, because they washed their own eyes. The washing of the water of the Word, when Israel does this they'll not be blind anymore.

He's not just ministering to just one man, He's also ministering to Israel in this passage and was a key for them to learn. Instead of centering up on healing,
First believe that cancer is NOT from God, and that it's NOT because of sin, this steals your faith
...we're bound up to it until we're loosed from it and get our eyes open, and the way you do that is bathe yourself in the Word and get loosed from it...and learn that it's the work of the devil and not of God and God is not the author of cancer.

Q: The judge is not representative of God? Does the judge represent our circumstances? Are we to tell our circumstances that we are demanding justice? Is that close? I feel like I'm close to understanding a key. Please give me an example of how we should approach in prayer and not giving up. TIA.

Donna, I was listening to the message while I had this tool opened and just started taking notes like mad....and published it.

PLEASE go there and listen to the Mondays lesson at the link.

The unjust judge represents satan.

When we pray a prayer of petition, making use of God's word for the petition we're making...it's a done deal. We pray that once, standing and believing.

What we do afterwards is to water it with praise, thanksgiving and bathing it in the Word of God...and NOT MOVE FROM IT.

There are different kinds of prayer, supplication, intercession....etc.

The point that was brought out in the lesson was that the Body of Christ has equated the unjust judge with God. Haven't we all wondered about that?

The Scripture says this about the unjust judge...
There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man.

THAT IS NOT representative of GOD, right?

The unjust judge DID NOT have her best interests in mind, and just wanted to head off an unpleasant situation for himself - and saw that after there was this persistent woman he didn't want her to be returning until she got what she wanted...to be avenged.
Go read the passage.

In the passage she wanted to be avenged of her adversary....
In the Word of God He already tells us ....Shall not God avenge His own elect? He will avenge them speedily.

If an unjust wicked judge will help this woman just to save himself some trouble from a persistent woman...a loving God full of grace and goodness will certainly avenge us quickly.

Yes, we should be speaking to our circumstances with God's Word.
His Word is what develops faith in our lives. (Romans 10:17)

The parable is of the Persistent Widow. This is all in "red". Jesus was teaching that God will avenge us speedily! He IS THE JUST judge....then at the end of the parable was asking if when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth.

Yes, He will. We develop our faith with His Word and use it skillfully as the weapon it really is, Donna. Circumstances must bow their knee to the Word of God.

Thank you Sharron! I've been praying when I read the Word that it come alive to me! PTL! It really is alive and able to change my life for good! I've been praying too that He show me when I've had "religious" glasses on when I read the Word. I want to know who HE IS not what others have surmised. KWIM?

That is the first time I have heard that this evil judge is the enemy. For some really odd reason I thought it was like God in a bad mood. LOL! Really not funny but it still makes me laugh. I must be laughing because now I see the truth!

Donna, that is what I'd always seen too.
The longer I live, the more I have no use for "religion" and what it's taught me. :)

God told us in His Word that we shall know the truth and the truth will set us free. YES, that's what I desire.
In Jesus' Name.
