Let it be to me, according to Your Word

One of my favorites verses in the Bible is:
Luke 1:37, which tells us:
For with God nothing will be impossible

There are also verses that correspond with this telling us that what is impossible with man is not impossible with God. HALLELUJAH!!!!

Interestingly enough, the verse in Luke was written in the passage where Jesus' birth was announced to His Mom, Mary, then straight away in the next verse, Mary said:
"Behold, the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word."

That passage has always been a reminder to me that God's Word to us should always bring that response from our heart. The posture of our heart should always be...let it be to me according to Your Word, Lord.

Over in Romans 10:8-10 tells us:
8 But what does it say? "The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart" (that is, the word of faith which we preach):
9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

This is not just a "formula" to bring us to salvation, it's a spiritual principle that is to be used throughout our lives. When we see the Word of God that speaks to our heart, with the heart we believe what He says, and with our mouth confession is made agreeing with God's Word what He's provided for us in His Word.

I think it's interesting that even before Jesus was born, THAT IS HOW His Mom received Him, by believing in her heart and decreeing with her mouth, and it was done unto Her....according to God's Word.

I LOVE how God works! LOL

Father, HELP US to understand the power of Your Word in our heart and in our mouths. Help us to BELIEVE what You say and help us to AGREE with you with our mouths so it can be conceived into our own lives. In Jesus' Name.
