Peter Pan's "Following The Leader."

Remember Peter Pan's Following the Leader. That sweet little clip with cartoon characters that were innocently following their leader with determination, and resolve that they would do their job successfully, come what may.

Well, Father, I say that we have the "childlike" faith to do the same, to follow our "Leader" the Maker of Heaven and Earth and all that fills them with the resolve that we will do the "job" we've been given, come what may. We will be "Led" by Your Spirit through our own spirit, and we will listen and do, all that you have designed for us to do with the VICTORY that you've made provision for, in Jesus' Name.

Man: An Eternal Spirit

I read a book entitled "You Can Be Led By The Spirit of God" authored by Kenneth E. Hagin, about 30 years ago and have recently purchased another for our children to read. I wanted to bring another excerpt from it today entitled "Man: An Eternal Spirit" Yummy!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Man: An Eternal Spirit
Genesis 1:26, 27
And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness:….So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him.
Man is a spirit being. He is made in the likeness of God. Jesus said that God is a Spirit (John 4:24). So man must of necessity be a spirit.
Man is a spirit, he has a soul, and he lives in a physical body (I Thessalonians 5:2).
When the physical body of man is dead and in the grave, the spirit lives on. That part of man is eternal. Spirits can never die, and man is a spirit. Paul is speaking of physical death here:
Philippians 1:23, 24
23 For I am hard-pressed between the two, having a desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better.
24 Nevertheless to remain in the flesh is more needful for you.
Paul is going to live. Whether in the body or out of the body, he is still going to live. If he abides, or lives in the flesh he can teach the church at Philippi and be a blessing to them. That would be more needful for them. It would be far better for Paul himself, however, to depart and be with Christ. Paul was actually saying, “I am going to live in the body or I am going to depart and be with Christ.”
Who is going to depart?
“I” am going to depart. Paul was not talking about his body. His body was not going to depart. Paul is talking about the inward man, the spirit man, who lives inside the body.
People sometimes ask, “Will we know one another in Heaven?”
I always quickly ask, “Do you know who is going to be there. If you know one another down here, you will know one another there. You are the one who is here, and you will be the one who is there.
“I am going to depart,” Paul says, “and be with Christ which is far better.” I like that! If he had just said it was better, that would have been good. But he said, “It is far better!”
Some false cults teach that when a man dies he is dead like a dog is dead when it dies. No, man is not. Man is more than a body. He is a spirit, he has a soul, and he lives in a body. Others say that when man dies he is in “soul sleep.” The Bible does not teach that. Some say the spirit does depart all right – but it comes back as a cow, a dog, or as someone else. Reincarnation is unscriptural and unbiblical. Stay with the Word of God and it will solve all your problems along this line. Paul said, “I am going to depart. I am going to be with the Lord, which is far better.”
Paul preached the same truths and taught the same facts to all the churches. Here he uses different words to teach the same blessed truth to the church at Corinth.
II Corinthians 4:16
Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day.
There is an inward man. And there is an outward man. The outward man is not the real you. The outward man is only the house in which you live. The inward man is the real you. The inward man never grows older. He is renewed day by day. The inward man is a spirit man.
What is our spirit? Keep in mind our introductory texts. Romans 8:14 says, “…as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.” Then verse 16 gives us a little insight into how the Spirit of God leads us: “The Spirit itself (Himself) beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God.” In other words, the Spirit of God bears witness with the spirit of man. Proverbs 20:27 says, “The spirit of man is the candle of the Lord…” According to these scriptures God will guide us through our spirits; therefore, we must find out what our spirit is.
Jesus said to Nicodemus, “…Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God” (John 3:3).
Nicodemus, being natural, could only think naturally. So he said, “…How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born?” (vs. 4)
Jesus was not talking about a physical birth. He said, “That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit” (vs. 6). He was talking about a spiritual birth.
The part of man that is born again is his spirit. Man’s spirit receives eternal life – the life of God, and the nature of God. It is man’s spirit that is made a new creature in Christ.
Paul calls man’s spirit “the inward man.” Peter calls man’s spirit “the hidden man of the heart.”
I Peter 3:4
4 rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God.
In many places when the Bible speaks of the heart, it is speaking of the spirit. This is the real man. It will help you in your believing and in your faith to think like that.
In the New Testament, wherever the word heart is used, substitute the word spirit and you will get a clearer picture of what the Bible is talking about. It is the spirit of man that is born again.
II Corinthians 5:17
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
This is talking about the inward man. It couldn’t be talking about the outward man. When you are born again and become a new creature, you do not get a new body. The outward man is just like it was before. If you were bald before you were born again, you are still bald afterwards. If you had brown eyes before, you still have brown eyes. The outward man does not change. God does not do anything with the outward man. You find out what God wants you to do with the outward man from the Bible – and then you do it.) God does something with the inward man. He makes the man on the inside a new man in Christ, a new creature – a new creation.
The Lamp of the Lord
I read a book entitled "You Can Be Led By The Spirit of God" authored by Kenneth E. Hagin, about 30 years ago and have recently purchased another for our children to read. I wanted to bring another excerpt from it today entitled "The Lamp of the Lord" Yummy!
The Lamp of the Lord
Romans 8:14
For as many as are led by the Sirit of God, they are the sons of God.
Romans 8:16
The Spirit itself (Himself) beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God.
Proverbs 20:27
The spirit of man is the candle of the Lord, searching all the inward parts of the belly.
Children of God can expect to be led by the Spirit of God.
Another translation of Proverbs 20:27 reads, “The spirit of man is the lamp of the Lord….” Had this verse been written today it might have read, “The spirit of man is the light bulb of the Lord.” What it means is this: God will enlighten us – He will guide us – through our spirits.
Many times, however, we seek guidance by means other than the way God said. When we do, we get into trouble. We sometimes judge how God is leading by what our physical senses tell us. But nowhere does God say that God will guide us through our physical senses. Too often we look at things from a mental standpoint and endeavor to reason out things. But nowhere does the Bible say God will guide us through our mentality. The Bible does not say that the body of man is the candle of the Lord, nor that the mind of man is the candle of the Lord.
God will guide us – He will enlighten us – through our spirits.
Now before we can understand how God does lead us and guide us through our spirits, we have to understand the nature of man. We have to understand that man is a spirit, that he has a soul, and that he lives in a body.
Difference Between Spirit and Soul?
I read a book entitled "You Can Be Led By The Spirit of God" authored by Kenneth E. Hagin, about 30 years ago and have recently purchased another for our children to read. I wanted to bring an excerpt from it today entitled "What Is the Difference Between Spirit and Soul?" Yummy!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit...

The spirit and the soul are not the same.

Many years ago, back in the early '50's, I began an intensive study on this subject. I got books from the leading Bible schools and seminaries, both Pentecostal and denominational, to see what they taught on the subject of man. Non satisfied me. None were actually scriptural. They were only scriptural, as the Bible says "in part." I asked leading Bible scholars and ministers across the nation. You would recognize some of their names if I mentioned them. I even heard someone ask one of today's most well-known ministers, "What is the difference between the spirit and the soul?" He looked startled and said, "I thought they were the same." That was the answer I got from most of the ministers I asked.

Yet how could they be the same? Paul, by the Spirit of God, said they can be divided by the Word of God (Hebrews 4:12). If you can divide them, they cannot be the same.

Only the Word of God can divide the spirit and the soul, however. The reason we have not been able to distinguish between them is that we have not dug deeply enough into the Word. Years ago, in the western part of the United States, they had what we call "the gold rush." People rushed out West. They were gong to get rich in a hurry. Most panned a little gold out of creeks. Some found a few nuggets lying on the ground. But if you really wanted to strike it rich, you had to dig or it. The same is true in spiritual matters: You can skim along on the surface of the Bible and pan out a little gold here and there - and even find a nugget occasionally. But if you really want to strike it rich, you have to dig down deep into the Word of God.

For 15 years I studied carefully, burning the midnight oil. If there was anything I desired to know it was the difference between the spirit and the soul. Eventually, I went through this process of elimination. I wrote it down like this: With my body I contact the physical realm. (That goes without argument.) With my spirit I contact the spiritual realm. That left only one other part of me that made contact with any other realm. I knew then that it had to be with my soul that I contacted the intellectual or soulish realm (which included the emotions and the intellect). So I wrote: With my soul I contact the intellectual ream. Here is a scripture that helped me:

I Corinthians 14:14
For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful.

The Amplified translation reads, "For if I pray in an (unknown) tongue, my spirit (by the Holy Spirit within me) prays, but my mind is unproductive...."

Our understanding, our natural human mentality, is a part of our soul.

Notice what Paul said. "My spirit prays, but my understanding is unfruitful." He did not say, "When I pray in an unknown tongue my soul prays." He did not say, "When I pray in tongues, I pray out of my intellect, or out of my mind." He said in effect, "I am not praying out of my soul when I pray in tongues; I am praying out of my spirit, my heart, my innermost being." Do you remember what Jesus said?

John 7:37-39
37 On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, "If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.
38 He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, OUT OF HIS BELLY will flow rivers of living water."
39 BUT THIS HE SPAKE OF THE SPIRIT, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.

As a result of receiving the Holy Spirit, Jesus said, 'out of the belly shall flow rivers of living water." Another translation reads, "out of the innermost being will flow rivers of living water."

A Full Gospel pastor's daughter was six years old when she and some of the children were off by themselves one night at a revival. Some of these youngster were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues. This little six year old, holding her stomach, ran up to her mother, saying, "Momma, Momma, that came right out of my belly."

She was being scriptural. She was speaking in tongues from her belly - her spirit, her innermost being. That's where tongues come from - the Holy Spirit who resides in your spirit gives your spirit the utterance and you speak it out.

Consider these scriptures together now. "The spirit of man is the candle of the Lord, searching all the INWARD PARTS OF THE BELLY....OUT OF HIS BELLY shall flow rivers of living water..."

All the leading I have ever received have come from out of my spirit. And most of them have come while I was praying in other tongues. You can understand why. Your spirit is active when you are praying in tongues.

One reason the church world as a whole has failed so miserably is that it has done so much of just one kind of praying -- praying with the understanding, or mental praying. Christians have endeavored to fight spiritual battles with mental abilities.

I have learned this through these many, many years. In every crisis of life I have learned to look to my spirit inside me. I have learned to pray in other tongues. While I am praying in other tongues, guidance comes up from inside me. This is because my spirit is active. My body is not active, my mind (my soul) is not active, but my spirit is active, and it is through my spirit that God is going to guide me.

Sometimes I interpret what I am praying in tongues, and through the interpretation I receive light and guidance (I Corinthians 14:13). But most o the time, that is not so. Most of the time, just while I am praying in tongues, from somewhere way down inside, I can sense something rise up in me. It begins to take shape and form. I cannot tell anyone mentally how I know it, because my understanding has nothing to do with it. But I know on the inside of me what to do.

I follow that. I listen to my spirit. Because the spirit of man is the candle of the Lord.

The Simple Woman's Daybook

Renna, at Finding My Knitch, had an interesting post today, she's participating in a Monday blog called The Simple Womans Day Book Looked like fun!!!

For Today
...

Outside my Window...Watching a grandson enjoying the cool evening teasing one of his uncles, in the back yard.

I am thinking..."What a rich, blessed life I have."

From the learning rooms...Gathering my used curriculum to share with another home educating family.

I am thankful for...Good health.

From the kitchen...Bean barrito's with cheese and mild salsa.

I am wearing...Denim skirt with a favorite blouse bearing an animal print I've had for about 10 years...it's lasted so nicely, so long.

I am reading
..."Only Believe" by Smith Wigglesworth

I am hoping for...A good idea to make use of some fresh apples on my table, that my family would enjoy. They're lovely, but won't stay that way long.

I am creating...Gifts for my Christmas list.

I am hearing...The locusts singing to us from my back yard.

Around the house...Need to finish two loads of laundry. One more load in the dishwasher. Have organized the bills to be paid this week. Enjoyed some peach tea with a teen aged granddaughter while we were praying together.

One of my favorite things
...My house full of laughter.

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week
...Finishing details to get my car worked on, a gravel truck left me with the need of a new windshield and some paint work on the hood. :(, Getting a grocery list shopped for, some mending, and packing before I leave on a trip next weekend.

Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you...

These are my lovely maternal grandparents, Hannah and Leo Schlegel. Precious people that enriched the lives of everyone that knew them.

We are made overcomers by the Blood of the Lamb and the Word of our testimony....
Revelation 12:11

Unfortunately, We Can't judge Christianity by "Christians"....

We can't necessarily judge Christianity by "Christians"...the only way we can judge Christianity is by the life of Christ, and His Word.

If we look to people, they will fail us, and we are not to pattern our lives from "human", just JESUS.

Romans 13:14 tells us:
But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfill the lusts thereof.

Ephesians 4:24 says:
And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

Colossians 3:8-11
8 But now you yourselves are to put off all these: anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy language out of your mouth.
9 Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with his deeds,
10 and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him,
11 where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcised nor uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave nor free, but Christ is all and in all.

Romans 8:12-14

12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors--not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh.
13 For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.
14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.

We're instructed in Romans 12:1,2
1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Father, HELP US to walk like You, talk like You and move and have our being IN YOU by putting on Your Son, Jesus. Help us to make Your Word final authority in our lives, and not to make excuses for the flesh and the lusts that come out of it. Help us to learn to be LED by YOUR SPIRIT. Help us not to lean on ANYONES arm of flesh, but to look to Your Son, the author and finisher of our faith. Thank You for HELPING US. In the Name of Your Son, Jesus. Amen

Are You Going My Way?

Remember the old 1944 movie "Going My Way"? With Bing Crosby, Barry Fitzgerald and Rise Stevens? Crosby got an oscar for "best actor" from this movie that year. Look at that gorgeous dress Rise is wearing!

In Jeremiah 6:16 we're instructed:
Thus saith the LORD, Stand in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and you shall find rest for your souls.

To the tune of "FOLLOWING THE LEADER, THE LEADER, THE LEADER, FOLLOWING THE LEADER WHEREVER HE MAY GO."

We've got to TRACK DOWN God's plans and His paths for our lives.

If we're not hearing God, that's troublesome grounds to be on.
If we're ignoring the voice of God, THAT will be troublesome to us.
If we're busying ourselves with taking care of everyone else around us and wanting to pencil God in on our day....it smacks of "Forget You God, I'm too busy."

"Oh no, I've already got plans!" Quit making plans and then asking God to bless them. He wants us to seek out His plans and paths for our lives and THAT'S what He can BLESS.

Matthew 24:12 tells us:
12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

I WANT TO HEAR GOD
AND KNOW WHAT GOD WANTS ME TO DO

I've had enough failure in my life, haven't you? We can get into darkness by disobeying the Word of God. God's looking for SOMEONE to stand in the gap and PRAY and INTERCEDE.

We need to be FILLED with the Holy Ghost and the FIRE OF GOD in all of our lives, and the Word of God is the logs on our fire. It's going to take the Word of God to save us, to heal us, to deliver and keep us and to get us out of here.

Proverbs 14:12 tells us:
There is a way which seems right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
Proverbs 16:25 says:
There is a way that seems right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
Romans 6:21 warns us:
What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.

We need to stay in His WAY, the paths of His choosing, the old paths, the good WAY. We must hear from Him and FOLLOW His lead.

Psalm 50:23
Whoever offers praise glorifies Me and to him who orders his conduct aright, I will show the salvation of God.

Father, HELP US to be hungry and thirsty after You. Help us to seek You with our whole hearts, and not be a disappointment to ourselves and place ourselves on dangerous grounds vulnerable to our enemy. You said for us that know to do good and does it not, it's sin. Circumcise our ears, HELP us to HEAR YOU, open our eyes, Help us to quickly obey what your instructions are to us, FOLLOW YOU, and not give a place to our enemy. FILL US with Your Spirit and with Your FIRE, to burn out everything that does not belong with us. Thank You for your tender mercies towards us all. Thank You for making every provision we need to live this life in total VICTORY. You have brought such strength to all of us, Lord, HELP US to be led by Your Spirit and by Your peace, in Jesus' Name.

Saving of the "soul."

About 30 years ago I read one of Mr. Kenneth E. Hagin's books entitled "You Can Be Led By The Spirit of God"

It really did bring a lot of insight into my life and what I'm sharing today is an excerpt from it.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Saving of the Soul
James 1:21
...receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save our souls.
The spirit of man is the part of man that is born again. It is the part of man that received eternal life., which is the nature and life of God. It is the spirit of man that becomes a new creature in Christ Jesus. The soul is not the innermost being at all. It is not the soul that is born again. The saving of the soul is a process.
James 1:21 used to bother me when I was a denominational preacher before I was filled with the Holy Spirit. I didn't know what I know now. I used spirit as the soul, and interchangeably - referring to the spirit as the soul, and the soul as the spirit. I didn't divide them as the Bible does. But I did have enough sense to leave this verse alone until I grew so that I could understand what it is saying.
The Epistle of James was not written to sinners. James did not write a letter to the world; he wrote this letter to the Church. We know that because of James 5 where he says, "is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church..." (vs 14). In other words, if there is any sick among the Church, let him call for the elders of the Church. Also referring back now to the first chapter of James, let's pick up with verse 8:
18 Of His own will He brought us forth by the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures.
19 So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath;
20 for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God.
21 Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.
James is talking to born-again believers. Of the Father's own will, he writes, we were begotten, or born again by the Word of Truth. He calls them "my beloved brethren." so they were in Christ. Yet he encourages these born-again Spirit-filled people to receive the engrafted Word with meekness, "...which is able to save your soul." Evidently, their souls were not saved.
You see, a man's spirit, the innermost man, the real man, receives eternal life and is born again. But his intellect and emotions -- which comprise his soul -- still have to be dealt with. They are not born again. They are to be renewed.
Paul speaks about the renewing of the mind, writing to the saints at Rome.
Romans 12:2
2. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
The Psalmist David spoke of restoring of the soul:
Psalm 23:3
3. He restoreth my soul....
The Hebrew word translated restore in the Old Testament, and the Greek word translated renew in the New Testament mean about the same thing. The should -- the mind -- is to be renewed or restored.
My mother left me a chair which she inherited from her mother. I don't know exactly how old that chair is, but it is quite old. I can remember when my grandmother had it restored. They put new upholstery on it. They revarnished it. It was still the same chair; it was just restored. It was renewed.
In the Word of God it is never written that God restores our spirits. Our spirits -new creatures in Christ Jesus. Our souls, however, must be renewed or restored.
How? We have these scriptures relative to the soul: receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls...be not conformed to this world; but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God....He restoreth my soul (James 1:21; Romans 12:2; Psalm 23:3)
Man's soul is saved, or restored, when his mind becomes renewed with the Word of God. It is the Word of God that saves our souls, that renews our minds, that restores our souls.
When our minds become renewed with the Word of God, then we think in line with what God's Word says. We are able to know and prove the permissive and the perfect will of God -- because the Word of God is the will of God once we get our souls saved.
The greatest need in the Church today is to have minds renewed with the Word of God.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Father, I ask You to HELP US to renew our minds/souls to your Word. Thank You for HELPING US to put your Word first place in our lives and to make it the final authority OF our lives. It helps us to see with Your eyes, believe what You say, and speak and agree with You. In Jesus' Name.

Feelings, Reason and Conscience.

Feelings are the voice of the body.
Reason is the voice of the soul (mind, intellect, seat of our emotions)
Conscience is the voice of our spirit.

In John 10:1-6 we're told that WE hear God's voice, and that he calls his own sheep by name and lead them.

John 10:27 tells us:
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me

We, as Believers, have already been told that we KNOW His voice. All we have to do now is to become intimately familiar with it. We do that by spending time in His Word and time sitting before Him listening to our "middle" for what He is saying to us.

I've seen the Body of Christ RESPOND to the Lord at any given time and in fellowship, but she needs to be LED BY HIM - deliberately and on purpose, follow His direction.

Father, I ask YOU to HELP US to know the difference between the voice of our mind, the voice of our body and the voice of our spirit...where YOU abide, and to be LED BY YOU, in Jesus' Name.

God's Living Bread

Deuteronomy 8:3
...man shall not live by bread alone; but man lives by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the Lord.

Matthew 4:4 also tells us:
But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.

James 1:22
But be doers of the Word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.

Father I ask You to HELP US to put Your Word, Your Living Bread, in our mouths. Help us to be led as little children by Your Spirit and by Your Word. Help us to submit and DO what your Word says, and when we do we'll not be deceiving ourselves. Thank You for bringing to us Your answers for our lives and helping us to place them where they work for us, in our mouths and on our lips, in Jesus' Name.

Do Not FORGET!!!

There's a place in the Word that tells us:

Deuteronomy 8:10-14
10 When you have eaten and are full, then you shall bless the Lord your God for the good land which He has given you.
11 "Beware that you do not forget the Lord your God by not keeping His commandments, His judgments, and His statutes which I command you today, 12 lest--when you have eaten and are full, and have built beautiful houses and dwell in them;
13 and when your herds and your flocks multiply, and your silver and your gold are multiplied, and all that you have is multiplied;
14 when your heart is lifted up, and you forget the Lord your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage

Father, Your Blessings are wonderful for us all...but God HELP US not to FORGET YOU - with a thankful, humble heart....while enjoying what You've brought to us by Your hand. We WILL bless YOU, and honor You all the days of our lives, in the Name of Jesus.

I Could Sing of Your Love Forever

Psalm 45:1
in the NKJV says:

My heart is overflowing with a good theme;
I recite my composition concerning the King;
My tongue is the pen of a ready writer.

"writer" is translated from the Hebrew word capher which means:

to count, recount, relate, rehearse, declare, to talk, secretary, scribe.

A ready writer would be one that is quick, prompt, skilled and ready.

We need to declare what is in our hearts about our King, about His goodness, provision, His care and lovingkindness for us. There would be no end, to a heart that is full. That's what the writer was speaking about, his heart overflowing with everything THE KING is.

There's a song entitled: "I Could Sing of Your Love Forever"
To date there have been four groups that have recorded this song:
-Delirious
-Mercy Me
-Sonic Flood
-Jars of Clay

The lyrics are:
I Could Sing Of Your Love Forever

Over the mountains and the sea,
Your river runs with love for me,
and I will open up my heart
and let the Healer set me free.
I'm happy to be in the truth,
and I will daily lift my hands:
for I will always sing of when
Your love came down. [Yeah!]

I could sing of Your love forever,
I could sing of Your love forever,
I could sing of Your love forever,
I could sing of Your love forever. [Repeat]

Oh, I feel like dancing -
it's foolishness I know;
but, when the world has seen the light,
they will dance with joy,
like we're dancing now.

This is a heart FULL, isn't it? LOL

When we see Him for who He is, and understand our Covenant with Him and His LOVE for us, it's overwhelming.

We will have a tongue of a ready writer, and declare who and what He is, and What His provision is FOR US, spirit, soul and body. Everything He's DONE FOR US. We will want to shout it from the hill tops.

Father, I ask YOU to HELP US to have a tongue of a ready writer, to declare your goodness, Your praise, Your lovingkindess towards us, to decree Your provision for us, Your magnificence, You ARE WORTHY of our praise, and we will NOT let one opportunity pass to honor and glorify YOU! In Jesus' Name.

You may, if you wish, listen to this song HERE.

Joshua had a big job, he needed a mouth full of Answers.

He needed a mouth FULL, FULL, FULL of God's Word.

Joshua 1:1-8

1 After the death of Moses the servant of the Lord, it came to pass that the Lord spoke to Joshua the son of Nun, Moses' assistant, saying:
2 "Moses My servant is dead. Now therefore, arise, go over this Jordan, you and all this people, to the land which I am giving to them--the children of Israel.
3 Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given you, as I said to Moses.
4 From the wilderness and this Lebanon as far as the great river, the River Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and to the Great Sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your territory.
5 No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life; as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you.
6 Be strong and of good courage, for to this people you shall divide as an inheritance the land which I swore to their fathers to give them.
7 Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go.
8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.
9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."

When God created Adam, He created him a living speaking spirit, just like Himself.
The way God CREATED was with His Words, you know, like "LIGHT BE!"

The power of God's Words was passed along to human when He created Adam. God made us in HIS IMAGE. He is speaking creating Spirit, so are we.

Proverbs 18:21 tells us that "Death and life are in the power of the tongue."

Our mouth creates death or it creates life.

If we look around us, we are and have the result of what we have spoken.

"You know, heart trouble is what Daddy had, so you know it's in the family, and I probably have that to look forward to."

"Grandpa had arthritis so it's hereditary."

"That boy is JUST LIKE his Dad, bad temper and all."

"Well, you know how it goes, there's never enough money at the end of the month."

"I'm afraid that girl will never amount to anything much, she's just not motivated."

"Well, you know how it is....like mother like daughter!"

"Anger and rage is deeply embedded in this family and no matter what I do, it seems like there's no getting rid of it."

"Stupid is as stupid does."

"She's nothing but a slut."

"He just hops from one girl to the next, God only knows how many STD's he's got."

Every one of us are speaking what we believe. We may not be believing God's Word, but we're speaking what we believe nonetheless. It would benefit us to be agreeing with God's Word. Isaiah told us in chapter 55 that God's Word would accomplish what it is sent to do and would not return to Him void, but would accomplish all that it is intended to. We are and we have WHAT WE SAY. MY GOD HELP US to go finding out what HE has to say and to start agreeing with HIM.

Romans 10:8,9...
8 what does it say? "The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart" (that is, the word of faith which we preach):
9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

These are the same principles that we were shown in Romans about our own salvation. The same way we get salvation, is the same way we get everything else we need from God. By BELIEVING what He said and SPEAKING it. Agreeing with God.

Hebrews 11:3 says: Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

Romans 4:17 says:
(As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.

II Corinthians 4:13 says:
We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak.

Joshua had a BIG JOB, and some very big shoes to fill. He had to get his eyes on God and follow HIS instructions.

It wasn't something vain God told Joshua.....
vs. 8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

It's also instructions for US.

God knows that if we don't have His Word in front of our eyes and in our heart that we'll be speaking the problem and not the answer.

He's getting Joshua's attention onto the ANSWER. We need to get our attention on the answers for our lives....our eyes on the answers to problems in our lives..... when our eyes and our mouths are on God's solutions, we are speaking those things that are not as though they were, and are putting LIFE in our mouth.

I want to make my way prosperous.
I want to have good success.
I don't want to be one that produces a curse.

Father, I ask You to HELP US keep Your Word in front of our eyes and in our mouths, to be agreeing with YOU not the circumstances we are all facing. Joshua was filling some big shoes after Moses left, and Your counsel to us is the same that You gave him. That Your Word not depart from our mouths. Father HELP US to keep Your Word in our hearts, and in our mouths. Help us to choose LIFE and not death, and MAKE OUR WAY prosperous and have good success, by agreeing with You. In Jesus' Name.
