The Secret Place of The Most High - A Loving Place

Be still and know that I am God.
I will be exalted among the nations,
will be exalted in the earth!
Psalm 46:10

All through the Word of God we read of political unrest, the fear of what enemies would do, war, devastation all around.  There's a place in II Samuel 22 where King David is mentioned.  "Then David spoke to the LORD the words of this song, on the day when the LORD had delivered him from the hand of ALL his enemies, and from the hand of Saul.  And he said:  "The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; The God of my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, My stronghold and my refuge; My Savior, You save me from violence.

Wow, what a breath of fresh air.  The man had been THROUGH it, and he could still say this.

The following, Psalm 91, the whole chapter has to do with God's PROTECTION of His own.  The only thing is, the first verse is the prerequisite for the benefits that follow  The only, ONLY thing that will bring us protection, is if we are IN THE SECRET PLACE OF THE MOST HIGH and UNDER THE SHADOW OF THE ALMIGHTY.  If we do not get in there and stay there, our goose is cooked.  We are then looking at and dealing with FEAR, and just like FAITH brings us God's Word into existence FOR US.  FEAR will attract/bring the work of hell to us all, it's a spiritual principle.  None of us can afford fear.

Psalm 91 NLT
1. Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
2. This I declare about the Lord: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; He is my God and I trust Him.
3.  For He will rescue me from every trap and protect me from deadly disease
4. He will cover me with His feathers. He will shelter me with His wings.  His faithful promises are my armor and protection.
5. I will not be afraid of the terrors of the night, nor the arrow that flies in the day. (the one you were not expecting.)
6. I will not dread the disease that stalks in darkness, nor the disaster that strikes at midday.
7. Though a thousand fall at my side, though ten thousand are dying around me, these evils will not touch me
8  Only with my eyes will I see the reward of the wicked.
9.  If I make the Lord my refuge, if I make the Most High my shelter,
10. No evil will conquer me; no plague will come near my home.
11 For He will order His angels to protect me wherever I go.
12. They will hold me up with their hands so I won't even hurt my foot on a stone.
13. I will trample on lions and cobras; I will crush fierce lions and serpents under my feet. (the devil)
14. The Lord says, "I will rescue those who love Me. I will protect those who trusted My name
15. When they call on Me I will answer them; I will be with them in trouble.  I will rescue and honor them.
16. I will reward them with a long life and give them My salvation."

While going over my newsfeed this morning, I read much of the same YOU did.  ARGH!!!!
I don't like what I see, it angers me, tries to bring a chilling effect of fear, and after I posted a couple of things on my page, I thought NO!  I cannot afford to be in fear and frustration, so I then removed them from my page.  I have to run back up into that Secret Place of the Most High, and STAY there.  Trusting and believing His Word and saying so with my mouth, Refusing to lend myself to fear and frustration.

Yesterday, one of he things God ministered to us at our fellowship, was  "Be still and know that I am God." The only way any of us will be able to do that is to be dwelling/living in the Secret Place He has for us.  Abiding under His shadow, by BELIEVING what He's already told us in the whole chapter of 91, and making the choice to be obedient to all God has said in His Word.

My maternal Grandmother had this WONDERFUL rocking chair that she would take us into her lap and rock us in that squeaky old thing.  Every time she did, it would still our hearts.  There was NO
PLACE like being with Grandma in her rocking chair  That reminds me of what God's Secret Place is to us.  That should be HOME to us, abiding, living and not visiting there.  The time I would have in Grandma's lap would be limited, but the time we are living, abiding, DWELLING IN GOD'S SECRET PLACE - He's made JUST FOR US....Actually, He designed it for our LIVING space.
I stay there by trusting what He's already told me, believing that He's good for it and remain obedient - not just that, He wants to Love on us, it's a LOVING PLACE.  It doesn't mean we have our head in the sand, or oblivious to what is going on around us, but we are able to take EVERYTHING to God in prayer.  Remembering this:  James 5:16 - Confess your trespasses to one another and pray for one another that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous (believing) man avails much.

....Come away with Me, My Love.
