TWO THINGS

About 27 years ago, one of our sons was going through a three year protocol of chemo. He was five years old at the time.  His primary care giver, a pediatric ecologist, had his practice about 4 hours from our home.  We made trips VERY often, for a great many different treatments and frequent hospital stays.

Before leaving on the trip one particular day, he asked if a couple of his siblings could make the trip with him.  It was a long arduous trip, and was difficult for him, and he wanted company.  So a couple of his siblings were traveling with us that day.  On the way home, as usual, we stopped at a town that had some very nice parks, for him to play in and unwind from the events of the day.  His brother and sister, were ready to have a very good time together, with him.

While I was parking my van to let them out, he piped up and said, "Mama, do you know that there are no beds in heaven?"  I turned quickly to look at him and asked him why he said that?  The ears of my heart "heard" what I heard.

As a child that spent much, MUCH of his time in bed, both at home and in hospitals... the thought of Heaven not having any beds intrigued him.

I followed him around the park asking him questions about the "dream" he had. All the way, home, the next 4 plus hours on the road, I continued to ask him what all he saw in this "dream."  The boy saw things he did not know about in the natural, and had no idea what the Word of God had to say about them either. As he recounted the trip and all that he saw, both in Heaven and hell, I asked him (now mind you he was about 5 years old) if Jesus gave him any instructions. Without missing a beat, he raised his hand and showed me two fingers and said, "Yes, He told me two things to do."

So, here I was getting my pencil and pad of paper, ready to take down those instructions......and then he told me Jesus said, "Help one another, and don't choose paths that will lead you to hell."
Well, the entire "story" was more than he understood it to be, for sure, his trip to Heaven and hell, all he did and saw and heard and smelled....etc. etc. or the angels that escorted him, John and Caribius.  The child did not have the understanding from God's Word about it, to make him understand that it was not a "dream" but a "visit."
It was all very interesting, but what he told us about the instructions, those two instructions....it just about took my breath away.  As simple as that. Isn't that how Jesus lived the entire time he lived on earth.  Helping everyone that needed it and letting them know not to make decisions that would take them to a devil's hell?
"Help one another, and don't choose paths that will lead you to hell."
Did you "hear" it?
