Salty Light?

Matthew 5:15 says:
"You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.

We are the salt of the earth and everywhere we go, we're suppose to be PRESERVING something.
We're also suppose to making folks THIRSTY for Jesus and MORE of Him.

14 "You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.
15 Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house.
16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

We're SALT and LIGHT.

Father, I ask You to HELP US. Help us to be the salt, to savor and preserve.. and light that people may see YOU and that YOU may be glorified. You've called us to make a difference wherever we go, all the days of our lives, in the Name of Jesus.

I like the analogy of making folks thirsty for Jesus. :-)

I think it's interesting that not only do we have a "river of life" flowing out of us....it reaches out where it's suppose to go, and makes folks thirsty too? Hummm. Have been thinking about that one a long time. :)
